In the Pursuit of Fabulous Review of I. Fairy Dolly + Red Lenses from Uniqso

Hello again lovelies!
I am back with another contact lens review. Since things have finally calmed down from last month I can catch up with reviews and tutorials. This time I am reviewing the super popular I. Fairy Dolly + Red lenses from Uniqso. These are one of Uniqso's most popular lenses and I completely know why. They are simply gorgeous. While these are only my second pair of red lenses, I have to say that I am completely in love with them. I mean honestly, when you take a look at the color you can see why.
Look at how vibrant the I Fairy Dolly + Red is!

Now to the actual review. I don't know why I am looking away from the camera but I will try to correct that habit with the next review. Also I learned while editing this video, I apparently say "um" a lot. Perhaps because I am nervous.O.o Yet another habit to fix as well...

Now just in case you missed the breakout of ratings in the video here it is:

Enlargement- 9 out of 10 bats
These lenses do enlarge your eyes drastically, being 16.2mm, and you will notice a difference. However they are not the largest lenses I have. But they are a solid middle ground in between. They won't enlarge your eye so drastically that it will give you an alien like appearance, but they will be noticeable to everyone.

Color and Design-9.8 out of 10 bats
I am seriously totally in love with these lenses because they are so intense and super vivid. They are two toned so they are not going to blend with your natural eye color as  much as the 3 and 4 toned lenses. But in all honesty red lenses aren't the most "natural looking" lenses out there. While there are some lenses that are red that give your eyes a warm rich velvety look. These are BAM! In your face red. So these are perfect for dramatic looks, cosplay outfits, even Halloween makeup. You can wear them for everyday looks, like I do, however people will stare and whisper. So be prepared. ^_~

Comfort-9.5 out of 10 bats
Due to their 55% water content, these lenses are really comfortable.I wore theses lenses at a local convention for around 10 hours and didn't have a problem. After the 9th hour my eyes were a little dry so carry drops with you if you are going to wear them longer than 8 hours. I also love the fact that they are bright and vivid like a lot of Halloween/costume contact lenses but they don't have the "pinhole" or "tunnel vision" syndrome that a lot of costume lenses have. While I love costume lenses, the tunnel vision aspect can be aggravating while driving and costume lenses are a lot "thicker" so they tend to dry your eyes out quicker than circle lenses.

Overall- 9.6 out of 10 bats
If you are looking for a bright and vivid red lens you really can't get any better than these. Not only do the lenses dramatically enlarge you eyes without giving you an alien like appearance, they are super comfortable without drying your eyes out. The color and design honestly can't be beat. They are extremely bright and vivid and people can tell that your eyes are red from across the room. They are just as vivid as some of the costume lenses that I have and they don't have give you "tunnel vision" syndrome which you often find with costume lenses.  So if you want a true bright red lens that will get you noticed, theses are the lenses you are looking for.

Until next time my dears,

However I did do another tutorial yesterday of my look featuring Barbie Forest 3 Tones Blue Lenses from Uniqso and Classy Chick Cosmetics. In the Pursuit of Fabulous-Review of EOS WM-205 Max Sherbet Lenses in Blue

Hello lovelies!

I am back again with another contact lens review as we all know that I love contacts. I think that they open up endless makeup look possibilities so naturally a girl can never have too many. This time I am reviewing EOS WM-205 Max Sherbet lenses in Blue from Kiwiberry-1 Collection. One of my favorite combinations for makeup or looks in general is dark hair with blue eyes. It just screams exotic and alluring to me. I love it so much that it is no surprise that Mr. Dreadful has this hair and eye color combination. ^_~ So needless to say that I was super thrilled to receive these gorgeous lenses. But now on to what you are really waiting for pictures and the actual review!

Max Sherbet Blue- Isn't it a gorgeous color? *

This lens looks amazing with both dramatic and neutral looks!*

Now on with the actual review..

Enlargement - 9 out of 10  bats
These lenses are listed as 14.8 mm with the enlargement but they seem to much larger to me. I would have guessed that these were at least 15 mm if not 15.5 since they really do enlarge the eye. They do give you the nice dolly eye effect without being too overly dramatic or making you look almost alien like.

Color and Design -9 out of  10 bats
I love the dark blue color of these lenses. While these lenses are more dramatic than some of my other lenses they still stay in the natural looking realm. The color is extremely vibrant. These look incredible close up both inside and out on my dark brown eyes. These lenses are great for not only everyday wear but also for special occasions and cosplay. However since this is a darker blue color they not a real noticeable dramatic blue from a distance since my eyes are also dark. But I am sure that this would look INCREDIBLE on someone with lighter eyes.

Comfort-  9 out of 10  bats

These lenses like the rest of my EOS are EXTREMELY comfortable. They "settle" immediately and don't do the awkward float around your eye trick after you put them in. When mysterious floating contact happens is always happens to me in one eye when I am in a hurry to get ready to go somewhere. I haven't had an issue with these lenses and I can wear them for at least 8 hours with no issue. If you are planning on wearing them longer than that keep eye drops handy.

Overall- 9 out of 10 bats

These lenses were amazing all around. While the manufacturer states that they are smaller than 15mm, I think that they are at least that if not a little bigger from the enlargement that they do. They give you a nice dolly eye effect without being too dramatic. The dark blue color of these lenses is simply stunning. I can't stop looking at my eyes in the mirror. The color is nice balance of vibrant and natural which makes it perfect for everyday and special occasions. Finally these lenses are extremely comfortable since I can wear them for at least 8 hours with no issue at all.

Now if you want to get a pair of these lenses or any lens from Kiwiberry-1 click on the icon located in my sidebar and it will take you right there. Use the code dreadfullydivine to get 15% off your order!

In the Pursuit of Fabulous- Review of LashDomain.com

Hello lovelies!
I have to admit that I have been slacking with the blog but I am back this time with a review not of a contact lens but of a lovely lash company called Lash Domain. I have been wanting to review this company for awhile because they really are fantastic. All of my Red Cherry lashes that I do for my looks have come from them and I have even ordered some of their Lash Domain exclusive brand lashes. You may even see some of my pictures on their site when you go. Needless to say that I am super impressed with their quality and their prices. The staff at Lash Domain are super friendly and always willing to help. The lashes were AMAZING. They were not only super soft but very durable. But if you are anything like me you want to see the product on someone, so here are some of the lashes that I have purchased from them.

Red Cherry Lashes #100

Lash Domain's Madame CEO lashes

Red Cherry Lashes #76

Lash Domain's Cleopatra Lashes

So the break down...

Quality:  9.5 out of 10 bats
These lashes are not only gorgeous but soft to the touch and super durable. I have cleaned and reused them several times and they are just like new.

Price: 9.5 out of 10 bats
Their prices are extremely reasonable and they often have sales which makes it even better.

Customer Service: 9.8 out of 10 bats
The customer service with this company is fantastic. I have never had a problem with them and they have always taken care of me. I can't ask for anything more.

Shipping : 9.8 out of 10 bats
While often shipping is out of a company's hands (especially if things are coming from overseas) I find it really important. I HATE waiting for things in the mail. I stalk the mailman like a ninja for packages and I hate the utter disappointment of not getting my package in a timely manner. The shipping cost was extremely fair and the turn around from my order to in my hot little hands and on my eyeballs was super quick.

Overall : 9.7 out of 10 bats
This company sells a great quality product with a reasonable price. Their customer service is fantastic and shipping can't be beat. So if you are looking for lashes I highly recommend going there and when you do tell them Dreadfully Divine sent ya.

**Now some of you may wonder or even ask, "Dreadful, why didn't you give them 10 out of 10 bats?" In all honestly, I rarely ever give 10 out of 10 for anything. I find that a constant 10 out of 10 really diminishes the superior rating. Perhaps I am slightly jaded from years of retail but I want my readers to know that I am very through and honest with my ratings. So know that each review the product or company really worked to get that review number from me. ^_~**

Until next time my dears...

In the Pursuit of Fabulous-Review of EOS WBK-1 Black

Hello Lovelies~
I am back again with another contact lens review for you. This time I will be reviewing, EOS WBK-1 Black that I purchased from KiwiBerry1 Collection. Like the pink lenses that I reviewed last time, these were my first pair of black lenses. I have several pairs of blue, violet and green but these were my first black lenses. Honestly I didn't have the urge to put a darker colored contacts in since my eyes were all ready dark. I didn't think that it would make any difference. My eyes would just be darker, whoopie. How wrong I was. I had seen sites that claimed that "black eyes make you appear more intelligent". While I don't know if I look smarter, I do have to say that I do look bad ass with these lenses in. Needless to say I am going to be purchasing some more in the future.

These black lenses were the finishing touch to the Futuristic look  I did

Enlargement- 9 out of 10 bats
What else can I say, since these lenses are black they make my eyes look HUGE! While the actual enlargement is 14.8mm  I think that the color is what helps give the illusion of large dolly like eyes.

Color and Design- 8 out of 10 bats
As I mentioned earlier, I didn't think that black lenses would be that impressive to me since I all ready have really dark eyes. I was quite mistaken. I like how the color fades in towards the middle instead of being one harsh black blob which gives it more of a natural look.

Comfort- 9 out of 10 bats
These lenses are extremely comfortable however they did get a bit dry towards the end of the day hence the 9 out of 10. Keep eye drops handy and

Overall-  9 out of 10 bats
I love everything about these lenses- the look, enlargement, comfort.I honestly can't rave enough about them.Anyone who is on the fence about purchasing black lenses, you really need to get these lenses. You won't be disappointed.

Now don't forget about my current giveaway that I am having and if you are on Facebook be sure to check out my Tim Burton Inspired Makeup Contest. Until next time my dears....

The Pursuit of Fabulous-EOS Pure Pink V201

Hello Lovelies!
I just received an order of lenses from Kiwiberry 1 Collection when they had their 50% off sale. So now since most of my package has arrived (with the exception of one pair of lenses which should be on their way). So in this order, I decided to finally try pink lenses. I really hadn't seen a lot of people wearing pink lenses here I figured why not try them out and honestly I was pleasantly surprised with how much I like these lenses. I normally gravitate towards the bold and dramatic and I thought that pink eyes would give me that look, these lenses are surprisingly natural. But enough blathering and on with the review.

EOS Pure Pink V201 are lovely against dark eyes

Enlargement- 6 out of 10 bats
While these lenses are lovely, they don't enlarge my eyes as some of my other lenses. While my eyes are bigger, you will not get the giant doll eyes look from these lenses. So if you are looking for massive enlargement these lenses are not for you. However if you are looking for enlargement that is less dramatic, then these lenses should be right up your alley.

Color and Design-8.5 out of 10 bats
As I mentioned earlier, I really love the color of these lenses. The color is almost like a pastel baby pink that pops against my darker eye color and I can notice the difference from a distances. However since the color is a softer shade of pink, I couldn't really distinguish that the lenses were pink from a distance just that my eyes were lighter. While I was hoping for a more vibrant bolder pink I still really liked these lenses.

Comfort- 9 out of 10 bats
I honestly can't complain about anything when it comes the the comfort of these lenses. Once in there is really no discomfort. The only thing that I noticed was towards the end of the day my eyes were a bit dry (after around 7 hours) so that is why they didn't get a perfect score. However if you keep eye drops handy, you won't run into that problem.

Overall-8 out of 10 bats
I really do adore these lenses. While these lenses are not as large as I normally wear, they do enlarge my eye. The color is a lovely shade of pink and shows up well against my dark eyes. The pink is subtle enough to lighten my eyes from a distance without shouting "HEY I'M WEARING PINK LENSES!" Finally, these lenses are extremely comfortable. But if you plan to wear them for more than 7 hours or so keep eye drops handy.

Until next time my dears....

The Pursuit of Fabulous-Review of Natural Big Eyes Lenses - Dolly Eye - Pop C Light Violet

Hello my lovelies,
I am back again with another circle lens review for you. This time I am reviewing Natural Big Eye Lenses Dolly Eye Pop C in Light Violet. I originally purchased these lenses from EyeCandy's Store but for some reason they are no longer in stock. AS I have stated before I have really dark brown eyes and while some lenses look amazing in the photos on the website they don't live up to their images when you get them out of their vials and into your eyes. While I am sure that those lenses may look jaw dropping amazing with people with lighter eyes not so much on us dark eyed ladies and gents. But not so with these lenses, you can tell the difference and the actual color from a distance. If you are looking for a lens that stands out in a crowd these lenses are for you. I love dramatic looking lenses and makeup so these were right up my alley.
Without flash on an overcast day

With flash., just look at the amazing color.

Enlargement- 8 out 10 bats
These lovelies are huge. Large enough to draw attention to you but not too big that people will think that you are some strange alien from another planet. People will glance your way and do a double take. So be prepared.

Color and Design- 8 out of 10 bats
The color of these lenses are amazing. The pigmentation is dark enough to stand out against my dark eyes and up against my dying camera. They are really vibrant! If you are looking for a more subtle or natural violet eye, then these are not for you. They are quite dramatic and stunning. But then again, I love the strange and unusual.

Comfort- 7 out of 10 bats
While these lenses are comfortable my eyes were being to tire and dry out after about six to seven hours. If you are thinking of wearing these beauties all day/night take some eye drops and your case in case they dry out too much.

Overall- 7 1/2 bats out of 10
While I loved the color and enlargement of these amazing lenses, I wish they were a bit more comfortable for me to wear longer without drops. People will do a double take and stare at these lovely lenses since they are so striking and really draw attention to your eyes. I still can't rave enough about how pigmented they are to stand out from a distance on my dark eyes. So if you are looking for a gorgeous violet lens that will draw attention go out and purchase these.

It appears that after I composed this blog entry, my sad sick little camera has finally given up the ghost and died a horrible death. Which, I will say, is all for the best since it could no longer take decent close up pictures. So, since the camera gods have spoken, I will be purchasing a camera after the holidays and I will be back with better (and clearer) pictures and I will be revising the tutorial with new images and of course more reviews and tutorials. So have a wonderful holiday season and I will see you all in 2013. Until next time my dears...

In the Pursuit of Fabulous-Barbie Puffy Three Tones Brown from Unisqo

Hello my lovlies~
I am sorry that I have been away for so long. A lot has happened since I last posted ,the two major events  that occured were that we got a new boxer puppy which my children have named Cody and I participated in my first NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November. For those of you who haven't participated in NaNoWriMo it is basically a writing frenzy all month. The goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days and I am proud to say that I met the goal but I didn't do anything else. I was a mad writing hermit during the month of November. But I am back with a review of the Barbie Puffy Three Tones Lenses in Brown from Uniqso. I bought these lenses several months back due to the fact that the company was having an amazing sale on this brand and I wanted some new lenses to review. I wasn't quite sure about buying brown lenses since I all ready have dark brown eyes but I am honestly thrilled with how these lenses look. While I am normally drawn to more drastic lenses these didn't fall flat at all. While the color change isn't as shocking or unusual as yellow lenses would be, I found myself admiring these beauties every time I passed a mirror.
If you look closely you can see a slight reddish or pink ring around the pupil opening. I love this and it gave my eyes more "depth" instead of just a solid colored lens.

My crappy camera fails to capture the gorgeous hues in this lens.
Enlargement- 6 out of 10 bats
These lenses did make my eyes larger but it didn't give an alien appearance. However you will notice the slight difference in your eyes.

Color and Design- 7 out of 10 bats
These lenses are gorgeous in the vials and out. There is a slight pinkish/red inner ring where the pupil opening which explodes into a frenzy of different browns and ambers and ends with a soft brown outer ring. The lenses are what I would consider natural but they are anything but boring. While personally I love the strange and unusual colors and patterns, I really love the look of these lenses.

Comfort- 9 out of 10 bats
These lenses are EXTREMELY comfortable. I wore them for a full eight hours and I didn't have any complaints. They did what I want from a pair of lenses. They stayed in place with no hassle that I forgot that I was wearing them.

Overall- 7 out of 10 bats
Needless to say, I really loved these lenses. While they didn't make my eyes as large and alien looking as I would like, I couldn't stop admiring these lenses throughout the day. The color and design were gorgeous especially giving the brown so much more depth and the comfort was out of this world.I was pleasantly surprised at the new shade of brown my eyes achieved and I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing another set of Barbie lenses especially if they are as comfortable as these. I do have this same lens in blue so I look forward to seeing how well the blue stands up against my dark eyes.

Until next time my dears...

In the Pursuit of Fabulous..Review of Fresh Look Color Blends Gray

Hello my lovelies,
I am finally back again with another lens review after a whirlwind adventure of moving into my new abode. While moving and unpacking can take on a person's sanity, (How the hell did I acquire this much stuff and did it breed while moving are two of the questions I found myself constantly asking.) I figured before I drowned in an ocean of cardboard, I should do a review of some sort in order to break the monotony of trying to unpack and find a place of all this STUFF. So in order to start off the month of September properly, I decided to do a review of the FreshLook ColorBlends Gray lenses. Why the color gray and not something more vibrant? Well there are two reasons really.First, while I do have some more vibrant lenses to review (which I am drawn to more) I really haven't seen a lot of reviews about grey lenses. Yes, there are reviews of grey lenses but not as many as greens, blues and even browns which I found interesting. And second, it has been nothing but gray here with storms and winds from Hurricane Issac making landfall. Now, I am really sad to report that I am really not overly impressed with these lenses. Essentially I was extremely excited to get them and try them on but once they were in my enthusiasm deflated like flaccid balloon. Now I will warn you ahead of time, these are about as natural as they come (which may be part of my disappointment even though I was wanting natural colored lenses). To quote the Princess Bride, I was hoping for eyes that looked liked "the sea after the storm"and all I got was what appears like gray foggy patches on my eye. O.o So now when I wear these I appear to have some strange eye disease. Could this be because my eyes are darker? Possibly? But never the less, these lenses make my eyes look dirty and like I should be quarantined due to this new eye plague. I didn't even ask my husband what he thought of these since I was afraid he would all the Centers for Disease Control after looking at my eyes.
I don't have an eye disease, honest. Freshlook gray lenses in natural light.

While they do look slightly better inside, I still look like there is something wrong with my eyes.

Enlargement-  2 out of 10 bats
These lenses are as natural as they come. They even have the subtle brown ring at the outer edges of the gray. So if you are looking for lenses that make you eyes appear larger even the slightest bit try a different brand.

Color and Design- 3.5 out of 10 bats
The lenses look lovely in their jars. The grey appears nice and opaque with the soft brown outer ring. After putting them on you will do a double check at the foggy appearance which reminded me of my lovely dog Zyllah's developing cataracts when she passed away at the age of 14 years. Now, I will state again that I have dark brown eyes. They may look amazing on people with lighter eyes. I just look like I have an eye disease with these in.

Comfort- 3 out of 10 bats
As if these lenses didn't have enough going against them with making me appear to have eye cooties (as my 8 year old would say) they really aren't as comfortable as my other lenses. They don't conform to my eye as well as other brands that I have and  I can constantly tell that they are in. I really hate that. When I wear a lenses I want to forget that they are there and enjoy the day.I don't want to be constantly be reminded about the floating piece of plastic that is hovering on my eyeball.

Overall- 3 out of 10 bats
While the naturalness of the size of the lens didn't bother me at all since I was looking for a pair of "natural" colored lenses. The color, design and comfort were a huge flop. The pigmentation of the coloring against my natural eye color failed completely. The color didn't cover up or blend very well it just gave me the appearance that I have foggy disease ridden patches on my eyes and the comfort just wasn't there. I will not be purchasing these lenses again and I will continue my search for the perfect gray colored lens.

Until next time my dears...

In the Pursuit of Fabulous...Review of Ifairy Style Hanabi Blue Circle lens

Hello my lovelies,
I am doing another Circle lens review for you today. Today I am reviewing Ifairy Style Hanabi Blue Circle lenses. As being a brown eyed beauty, I longed to have the striking combination of blue eyes with black hair. This combination has always been truly stunning with mixture of darkness and light. So naturally I needed to try this out on myself to see how I liked it.These are the first blue circle lenses that I purchased and I am extremely pleased with them. Having really dark brown eyes I was concerned that the color wouldn't be noticeable from a distance, but I was pleasantly surprised. While you can make out that the lenses are blue from a distance but the bright blue color and pattern isn't really noticeable until you are close up and in bright light. I asked my husband what he thought of the new lenses and he responded, "Their blue and they look weird." I am guessing that "weird" is going to be the standard response for circle lenses due to the enlargement. He should be used to weird, he is after all with me. My camera and the light were apparently working against me today. So until the budget allows, my camera will continue to call my bluff on throwing it away from something new.So Dreadful gives Ifairy Style Hanabi Blue the following ratings..
Natural light inside
Sunlight outside
Enlargement- 9.5 out of 10 bats
Theses lenses are larger than my Candy Magic Big Size Green. They are 15mm, so you will notice a considerable difference. The lenses do give you an alien or doll like appearance. So people will look at you and try to figure out what is different about you.

Color and Design- 8 out of 10 bats
While these lenses do stand out against my dark brown eyes, I really wished that they were more vibrant from a distance. The swirled pattern is quite striking against the blue but I wish I could see it a bit better on my eyes. Similar to the Candy Magic Big Size Green these may be more vibrant on lighter eyes.

Comfort- 8 out of 10 bats
These lenses are quite comfortable, however I do get a bit of a haze in my peripheral vision which can be slightly annoying.

Overall- 8.5 out of 10 bats
The color and design are gorgeous and you will have an doll like appearance with these lenses, however the hazy peripheral vision may be irritating.

Until next time my dears..
