In the Pursuit of Fabulous- Dark Peacock Makeup Tutorial with Glama Girl Cosmetics.

Hello lovelies!
I am back again this time with a new makeup tutorial which I call, Dark Peacock. I love seeing blue, green, purple and gold together. It is one of my favorite color combinations ever. So when I won Glama Girl Cosmetics  new Africa 650 palette and they sent me their Vegas collection with it I needed to create a look with these gorgeous colors. For those of you who are circle lens addicts like I am I am wearing EOS J203 Adult Blue lenses from Kiwiberry-1 Collection. So let's get started!
You will need your favorite moisturizer (eye and face), Too Face Eyeshadow Insurance, NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, Glama Girl Cosmetic Africa 650 Palette , Glama Girls Vegas collection (which isn't out just yet but when it is I will update with a link directly to it), your favorite black eyeliner (I use MAC Khol), your favorite black liquid liner (I use MAC's Liquid last cause it isn't going anywhere!), your favorite mascara and some lashes (if you prefer).

Glama Girl's Africa 650 Palette

Glama Girl's Vegas Stacker

Step One: Put your circle lenses or contacts in first (if you are wearing lenses) since you don't want to have your eyes water after your finish with your look. If you aren't wearing lenses skip this step obviously. ^_~ Apply your favorite moisturizer to your face and eyes and allow to dry. When your eyes are dry apply your primer. I use Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance, it is my go to primer of choice. I love the stuff. Then apply NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk and blend into the eye both above and below.

Prep and Prime your eye

Step Two:  Take the silver shimmer color from the Vegas Stacker from Glama Girl's Vegas collection, color number one, and apply to just under your brows (or where they should be). If you don't have the stacker any really light shimmery silver color will do.

Apply your highlight

Step Three: Apply the blue shadow marked number two from the Africa 650 Palette from Glama Girls on the outer and inner portion of your eye and about half way under your bottom lashes. If you don't have the palette any nice matte blue would work.

Apply the blue

Step Four: Take the green shadow marked number 3 on the Africa palette and apply in the middle of two blue areas on the top lid. A nice matte kelly green color would work instead if you don't have the palette. Also be sure to apply the green under your lashes to where the green begins on the inner part of your upper lid.

Apply the Green

Step Five: Apply the matte black, number 4, from the Africa palette on top of the green and blue on your upper lid and at the outer corner of your eye so that the black is cupping the color. Don't worry if the black doesn't seem dark enough we will add more later.

Apply the Black

Step Six: Apply the matte yellow marked number 5 on the palette under your eye near your tear duct. Then with a small rounded brush or your finger place a dab of the golden shimmery pigment also marked number 5 from the Vegas stacker in the middle of the green shadow and carefully blend out the colors. When I am working with really bright and vivid colors close together that I don't want to get lost in each other I carefully blend the edges with a Q-tip since it is small and precise. I can control the blending better than with some of my favorite brushes. Go back and apply the colors as needed after you blend  the look out to your preference.  Take a makeup wipe and clean up any fallout to make the look neater.

Apply your yellow and gold

Step Seven: Apply your favorite mascara and then line your bottom waterline with your favorite black khol pencil. Set the pencil with a black eye shadow using an angled brush. Line the top of your eyes with black liquid liner.

Apply mascara and liner

Step Eight: Fill in (or draw in as in my case) your brows. You can stop here or you can apply some false lashes and your done!

Fill in your brows and add lashes

You're Done! I hope that you lovelies enjoyed this tutorial. Go check out Glama Girl Cosmetics and tell them I sent you. In the Pursuit of Fabulous- Review of EOS G307 Gothic Hazel Lenses From Kiwiberry-1

Hello again lovelies!
I am back again this time with a new circle lens review of EOS G307 Gothic Hazel Lenses from Kiwiberry1 Collection. I purchased these lenses from Kiwiberry1 Collection awhile back when they were having one of their 50% sales and I have been searching for true golden looking lens. And I will fully admit that their name completely drew me to them. Gothic+Lenses= my instant attention. Golden eyes remind me of werewolves and werewolf movies. There is something primal about yellow eyes and I have been searching for the perfect lenses to give me that look. While there are several contacts that will give that gorgeous golden yellow color I wanted something more natural for every day wear.

EOS G 307 Gothic Hazel

Enlargement- 8 out of 10 bats
These lenses are 14.5mm so they only slightly enlarge the eye which is a bonus if you are shopping for a lens that gives you a more natural look . You will notice a difference but it isn't as drastic as some of the other lenses that I own.

Color and Design- 8.5 out of 10 bats
I bought these lenses with the intention of them giving a natural look and they do. The color is is an actual true hazel color with a variety of soft muted colors which will  show up against my dark eyes. The color will also give you a more natural look as it fades easier in with your eyes than some of the bolder more vivid lenses. They have a really golden look in the vials however the gorgeous golden look is lost against my dark eyes. Which makes me sad, however I think that they would look incredible against someone with really light colored eyes.

Comfort- 9 out of 10 bats
These lenses are extremely comfortable. I have worn them for 7 hours without an issue. By the end of the night as with all lenses, my eyes were starting to dry out so keep some eye drops handy if you plan to wear them more that 7 hours.

Overall- 8.5 out of 10 bats
These are really natural looking lenses. They do enlarge your eye without being too dramatic. The color and design are gorgeous and very natural, a true hazel color with a hint of gold on my dark eyes but would probably look more vivid on someone with lighter colored eyes. Finally these lenses are very comfortable. I didn't have an issue after wearing them for around 7 hours. Anything more you will need to use some drops like you would for other lenses.

If you are wanting to get your own pair of these gorgeous lenses. Click on the banner on the side of my blog and it will take to Kiwiberry1 Collection's site and as a special offer to my fans use the coupon code: dreadfullydivine to get 15% their website and they ship worldwide.

In the Pursuit of Fabulous-Review of Korpse Kosmetics

Hello Lovelies!
I am back again this time with another makeup review of an awesome independent makeup company called Korpse Kosmetics on Etsy. They are a Vegan and Cruelty free makeup company that I had heard a lot of wonderful things about. They offer a nice wide variety of products such pigments, glitter, lip paints, and liners just to name a few.  Now some of you may think that  with a name like Korpse Kosmetics they only offer bright and highly pigmented colors. While they may specialize in high colors they don't forget about you neutral lovers either. The company is run by the super sweet and talented YouTube diva Kimi Toxxxic and she kindly sent me some wonderful samples of pigments and glitter to review for you lovelies.  Just take a look at these swatches

Korpse Kosmetics Glitters!

Now on to the ratings...

Color Variety 9 out of 10 bats
Korpse Kosmetics has a nice selection of pigments and products for you to choose from. While they do specialize in loud and bright colors (which I LOVE) not everyone is into loud and bright. As proven from the picture above you can achieve more natural looking looks with her pigments as well. I am anxiously waiting with baited breath for her to release another line like her own personal makeup stalker. ^_~

Pigmentation 9 out of 10 bats
These pigments are quite pigmented on their own but are especially pigmented when applied wet. I always suggest using a base when applying any kind of shadow to give the shadow extra help for staying power, pigmentation and to prevent the dreaded eye makeup crease which all know and hate.  Her glitters are simply gorgeous. My favorites from this selection are Teal We Meet Again, Corvica and the gorgeous green glitter Toxxxic. I just want to roll around it and be a giant green glittery goddess.

Customer Service 10 out of 10 bats
Lovelies I RARELY ever give 10 out of 10 for anything as stated before since I think that a constant 10 out 10 all the time really diminishes the excellence of this rating but I have to say that Korpse Kosmetics is one of the few companies that have impressed me enough to earn this rating. My original package was lost in the mail (how this can possibly happen when it is only two states away is astounding--personally I think that my mailman is looking glamorous in all my missing packages) and I contacted Kimi about it. She didn't even bat an eye or hesitate. She sent me a new package out immediately. There are some companies that I have contacted repeatedly and I haven't heard anything from. But not Korpse Kosmetics, she is extremely professional and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from her.

Overall 9.5  out of 10 bats
You get a nice variety of colors, more geared to the bright and bold but she doesn't forget you neutral lovelies. You also get good pigmentation from the pigment both dry and wet without having to put half the jar on your lid. Customer service of Korpse Kosmetics is outstanding, Kimi is extremely professional and takes care of her customers. I couldn't ask for anything more from a company.

Now if you want to get a hold of the gorgeous colors and glitters reviewed here then click on Korpse Kosmetics and it will take you directly to their store and be sure to tell them I sent you! I have more makeup and contact reviews coming so be sure to follow and comment! Until next time my dears..

In the Pursuit of Fabulous- St Patrick's 0Day inspired look tutorial with Green Circle Lenses

Hello lovelies!
I am back again this time with a St. Patrick's Day inspired look tutorial. While everyone claims to be somewhat Irish on St. Patrick's Day for free green beer, this green and gold look will show off your festive side even if you aren't Irish. No St. Patrick's Day look would be complete for me and my circle lens addiction without green eyes so I am wearing GEO XTRA WIA23 in Green from Uniqso. If you are looking for lenses click the icon in my sidebar to receive 10% off your purchase. Simple as that. ^_~

St. Patrick's Day Inspired Look

Here is what I used for the look: Moisturizer, Manly 120 PaletteNyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk, Black Gel Eyeliner (your choice I used MAC since that is what I have on hand), Your favorite mascara, Red Cherry Lashed #20, Black liquid eyeliner (or you can use the Gel if you prefer) and Theodora Glitter and Glitter adhesive from Lit Cosmetics. While any gold cosmetic glitter will work please note that the key word is COSMETIC. Please for anything that you hold dear do not use craft glitter anywhere near your face and especially your eyes! If you don't have glitter adhesive eyelash glue spread thinly over the area will work as well.

Colors used from the Manly 120 Palette

Let's get started!

Step One Prep and Prime the eye
Step One: Apply moisturizer all over the eye area and wait until absorbed. Then apply Too Face Shadow Insurance primer all over the lid  to the brow bone and under the lash line. Afterwards apply NYX jumbo pencil in milk over the same area and blend in.

Step Two Cut Crease
Step Two: Take a thin brush (I use a cheap synth brush from an artist brush pack at Walmart) and apply the black gel liner starting at the outer corner of your eye to the inner corner. The thicker you make it the more dramatic it will be. Don't worry if it isn't perfect you are going to blend this out.

Step Three Blend Cut Crease and apply highlight
Step Three: Take an angled brush and dip it into the black shadow and gently blend upwards in short strokes. By blending upwards you still have the cut crease. Apply the color marked 1 on the palette under your brow as a highlight and blend down to blend the two colors together.

Step Four Add Yellow

Step Four: Apply the matte yellow color marked number 2 on the palette above and apply it to about the middle of your eye. Be sure to apply it both on the lid and under your bottom lashes to tie in the look.

Step Five Add Green
Step Five: Apply the matte kelly green marked number 3 on the palette slightly overlapping the yellow to the almost the outside of your lid. Do the same to the bottom under the lashes as well.

Step Six Add Dark Green
Step Six: Add the dark forest green marked number 4 on the palette to the remaining portion of the eye slightly overlapping the kelly green. Do the same thing under the lashes as well.

Step Seven Blend blend blend and then add some glitter!
Step Seven: Blend, blend, blend those colors to get a nice gradient effect. I use a Q-tip to blend when I am doing a cut crease so I am careful not to blend the crease. Apply glitter adhesive or a thin layer of lash glue over the yellow portion of the shadow and add Theodora or gold glitter (cosmetic grade only! please) on top and bottom. Wipe away any fallout you may have with a makeup wipe. If you don't have or don't care for glitter you can skip this portion (after the blending of course) and go straight on to step eight.

Step Eight Line those eyes and apply mascara!
Step Eight: Take your favorite liquid eyeliner (or you can use the gel liner you used for your cut crease if you prefer) and line the top of your eye. Line your waterline with your favorite black eyeliner (pencil or gel) and set with black eye shadow using an angled brush. Fill in (or draw in) your brows and add lashes. I used Red Cherry Lashes #20

Finished look!
You are done and you look fabulous! I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial and if you have any requests feel free to leave them below. Be sure to click on the links (in purple) listed at the beginning of the tutorial for the lenses or to check out Uniqso.  Until next time my dears...

In the Pursuit of Fabulous-Review of Barbie Gossip 3 Tones Violet

Hello lovelies!
It appears that March is all ready upon us and I am back with another lens review this time of the Barbie Gossip 3 Tone lenses in Violet. I purchased these beautiful lenses from Uniqso and I got them yesterday. Needless to say that they are GORGEOUS! I couldn't wait to get them on. I opened them up immediately and let them soak in my solution overnight and put them on this morning. I really love violet lenses. They make me feel so glamorous like Elizabeth Taylor and her stunning natural purple eyes. I love watching her in old movies and I can't take my eyes off her. She was so beautiful and a complete diva and that is how I feel wearing purple lenses. But anyways on with the review and the picture of course.
Barbie Gossip 3 Tones Violet is a gorgeous natural looking color.

Enlargement- 9  out of 10 bats
These lenses really make my eyes look big and I love that about them. People will notice the size difference even if they can't put their finger on it.

Color and Design- 9 out of 10 bats
I really love the look of violet lenses as I mentioned earlier. They just scream glamorous to me. These lenses are pigmented enough to show up against my dark brown eyes which is always a good thing for us dark eyed beauties and with the three tones it makes a bit more natural looking. The color is subtle from a distance but noticeable.

Comfort- 9 out of 10 bats
As I have mentioned before the Barbie lenses are the most comfortable lenses I own currently. I don't have issues with them taking time to "settle" on my eyes which may cause them to have hazy spots or the irritating floating lens syndrome which always happens to only one eye. Especially when I am in a hurry to get ready. I am able to just put them on and apply my makeup which is what I want in a lens. I have worn theses lenses for eight hours with no problems. Probably anything longer than that keep some eye drops handy.

Overall- 9 out of 10
To put it simply, these lenses are simply fantastic. Not only do they enlarge your eyes, but they are extremely natural looking while doing it. The color and design stand up well against dark eyes and pigmented enough to be noticed from a distance. Finally comfort is key, they are excellent for long wear without drying your eyes out too much. So if you are looking for a gorgeous natural looking violet lenses these are perfect for you.

Until next time my dears...
