A Doll and A Dame look Smashing in a Bordello

*Press*
Hello Lovelies,
I am back with not one but TWO looks from BeautyBarBaby's newest Pinup Collection. I got both the red and the purple based collections and I did a look with each of them. There is also a gorgeous neutral set that I have my eye on but that will have to be for next time. When I hear the world Pinup it just makes me think of the ultimate sexiness and these shadows are NO exception.

And nothing screams sexy like Dita Von Teese.
I essentially started with the red, since I have a weakness for red shadows.

Red is SUPER SEXY

I used the following items for this look:
BeautyBarBaby (BBB) Cream & Sugar
BBB Broad (Pinup Collection)
BBB Doll (Pinup Collection)
BBB Dame (Pinup Collection)
BBB Striptease
BBB Raven
BBB Red Fairy Dust (in the inner corner)
Born Pretty's 15 Piece Pink Brush set (used code KLH10 for a discount)

Then I had to do a purple look since purple is another one of my favorites.....

I used the following items for this look:
BeautyBarBaby (BBB) Miss Daisy
BBB Bordello (Pinup Collection)
BBB Brothel (Pinup Collection)
BBB Cathouse (Pinup Collection)

Do you have a favorite out of the new Pinup Collection that you must have? Or do you need the whole collection like I do? If you are dying to get your hands on the new BeautyBarBaby Pinup Collection you can do so on Etsy. You can follow BeautyBarBaby on Facebook, join their Facebook Fanpage and get first exclusive looks at new products that are coming out, and finally last but not least Instagram and Twitter. Until next time lovelies!

A Swatch Here and a Swatch There: Notoriously Morbid's Blood Countess Collection

*purchased*
 Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with some swatches from the new Blood Countess Collection , based off the Hungarian Countess Elizabeth Bathory, from Notoriously Morbid today. She was the most prolific female serial killer in history believing that bathing in the blood of young female virgins to retain her youth. While that is excessively extreme to try to obtain beauty, you don't have to go to such lengths to get this collection. While there were no animated gifs dealing with The Countess, I figured that Sweeney Todd was the next best thing.

Oh how I loved this movie!
**Please note that I am not glorifying the death's of the Countess' victims nor am I making light of the horror that she inflicted. She was and is a human monster and by studying her crimes and behavior we can capture other monsters that are out today. Now let's get back to happier subjects like makeup!**

Enough negativity, let's get back to makeup!
The Blood Countess is what I would consider a mini collection consisting of 3 shadows, a blush and a polish and is part of their permanent line so there is no need to get upset and bake someone into a pie in order to get this collection in your hot little hands.
Relax Sweeney and Mrs Lovett there is not need for violence in order to get this collection.
The three shadows are a gorgous combination of  purples and reds as well! I adore purple shadows and these are no exception. So, prepare yourself and your beauty budget and check out these swatches.. All swatches were done over Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Primer and taken in natural light.

Welcome to your grave beauty budget cause this is a gorgeous collection..
Gilded Mirror is described as a plum/mauve base with an airy gold overlay. It is the lightest of the three and the hint of gold gives it a nice sparkle in the sun.

Next we have Goblet of Red which is described as a rich merlot red with a  powerful blue green shift. It is very similar to the Autumn Flower shadow from the Out in the Black VC but darker and richer. So if you were sad about missing Autumn Flower definitely pick up this shadow.

Finally, last but not least is Nobel Rage which is describe on the site as a midnight black base layered with metallic amethyst and rose and gold sparkles. This is a gorgeous black packed full of sparkles the purple and the rose really shine in the sun as seen in this swatch.

Next we have a NEW Lipcraft color gloss in this collection.. I really love their glosses so I did a little dance when I opened my order.
Dance for the new lip pretty!!

Cachtice is described as a vermilion shimmer with medium to opaque coverage.  On me it is a hybrid color of salmon and and rose. I like how they stayed away from the blood red lip and stuck with something lighter and softer which can be worn everyday. The coverage is medium and can easily be built to a nice opacity.

I don't know about you I have always had a fondness for red polishes and Dungeon is just that...

Dungeon is described as a deep claret red with a subtle red shimmer. Dungeon reminds me of a deep dark brick red or even dried blood which is something that I can definitely see in a dungeon. It dries matte but looks just as amazing when a shiny top coat is placed on top of it. Just take a look...

You can see the hint of red sparkles in this photo

Finally we come to the blush in this collection, Sadist. Sadist is described as a soft rosy mauve with illusive gold shimmer. It can be built up for intense color or blended out for a softer delicate look.

Blushes always make me think of brides for some reason..
Personally, I always blend out my blushes since I am not a fan of intense color on the cheeks. I swatched  Sadist over a bare arm working from the lightest and blended out to the darkest.

Swatched going from light to dark and blended out..

It is hard to pick favorites out of this collection but if you want the whole collection it does come in the full size option for $30 and the mini for $17. Or you can pick up your favorites individually depending on your beauty budget.

Beauty Budgets, we all hate them.
Well, I hope that you enjoyed this swatch installment. You can pick up this collection  on Notoriously Morbid's site. You can also follow Notoriously Morbid on Facebook, Instagram and join their Facebook Fanpage for the latest news and sneak peeks on coming collections. Do you have any favorites out of this new collection? Until next time lovelies!

Sailor Moon Crystal EOTD: Who is that Masked Man?

*purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back with the next installment of my Sailor Moon Crystal inspired looks . It seemed like FOREVER before the newest episode, episode two, came out so I wanted to do another look. Because I was like this every single day.

Yup this is me checking Hulu everyday even though it is listed when the next episode comes out.
So I decided to go back and rewatch the originals. I had finished my binge watching of Orange is the New Black, the newest season of The Glades and now currently the newest season of Lost Girl. (And yes I am a HUGE GOT fan as well) So on nights when Mr Dreadful headed to the garage to tinker on his car, I sat down and happily watched some Classic Sailor Moon. Then I realized that while there were lots and lots of looks for the scouts the certain masked man doesn't have a whole lot of looks dedicated to him.

You know who I am talking about...
Yup, you know who I am talking about, Tuxedo Mask, the mysterious hero to helps out Sailor Moon when she is in trouble.

I wanted to stay true to the masked look without doing an actual mask so this is what I came up with.

Tuxedo Mask without the masked look
I decided to do a smokey eye with double liner in order to give the masked effect. I am quite pleased with the look that it is still soft enough to wear during the day and the two liners do give the masked feel without having to paint my entire face.
I used the following products for this look
Lunatick Cosmetics Labs Primer
NYX black bean (on lid only)
Dark Heart Designs (DHD) Audrey
DHD Wine Red
DHD Toxic
DHD Vampire Red
DHD Grace
Uniqso Kawayii Snow Blue Lenses (used "dreadfullydivine" for 10% off)
Moon Princess Lashes from Born Pretty Store ( use code KLH10 for 10% off)
Wolfe FX Essential Palette for the white liner.

You can find Dark Heart Designs on StoreEnvy, Facebook, and their Facebook Fan Page. I would love to hear what you think of the new Sailor Moon Series and this series of looks so leave a comment below to make Tuxedo Mask Happy and you do want to make him happy right?

Yup, of course you do!

I hope that you enjoyed this installment of the Sailor Moon Crystal Series so until time lovelies!

Happy Fourth of July and a couple EOTDS!

*Press, purchased and affiliate*
Hello lovelies!
Happy 4th of July and to celebrate I have not one but TWO EOTDs from two different companies. I wanted to do both a super dramatic and a wearable look for the 4th so I decided to do two different ones. I also did both of these looks for collaborations on Facebook so it killed several birds with two stones. But enough chattering on with the pictures!

Super dramatic fireworks inspired look

So of course we have to kick off with the super dramatic one. And truth be told, I am horribly stumped when it comes to traditional red, white and blue looks so I decided to go with a fireworks theme using those colors for this look.

I used the following products from Beauty Bar Baby *Press*
Black Velvet
Miss Daisy (highlight)
White Fairy Dust
Blue Fairy Dust
Red Fairy Dust (all were mixed with a mixing medium and applied wet)

I also used the Wolfe Fx Essential Palette for my liner  *purchased*

and these lashes from the Born Pretty Store (use code KLH10 for a 10% off discount)
  *purchased & affiliate links*

My less dramatic other 4th inspired look
Here is my other 4th inspired look and I was going for something more "wearable".
For this look I used Dark Heart Designs *purchased*
Vampire Heart
Elizabeth
Grace (highlight)
Rave
Ultraviolet

I also used the same lashes from the Born Pretty Store that I used in the look above.
*purchased & affiliate links*

Granted, I would wear both of theses anywhere not everyone would. I even answered the door with both of these looks plastered on my eye when my windshield repair man came. I am sure that I am now on the list of crazy customers that that guy will tell his co workers. Did I tell him that I was doing looks for my blog? Nope. So I am sure he thinks that I am part of a Kiss Cover band or something. This is the same exact look that I had on my face when he interrupted my look (Granted he wasn't looking for my dad...)

Well I hope that you enjoyed this quick 4th of July post and I hope that everyone has a fun and safe weekend! Until next time lovelies!

Nevermore
"Nevermore- Dark as the raven's wing that quoted the unforgettable phrase"

Now for some reason you aren't a big Poe junkie as I am, you can go read the various short stories and poems on this site. (Seriously go read them now, everyone should read Poe. ^_~) But I hope that you enjoyed this swatch EXPLOSION of lipsticks !

Until Next Time Lovelies!

In the Pursuit of Fabulous: Review of Notoriously Morbid

Hello lovelies!
After a bout of invading in laws and strep throat which refused to go away, I am back and this time I am reviewing an indie company called Notoriously Morbid. Notoriously Morbid is one of those rare gems in the indie world that not only has amazing products but also an amazing turn around time. They pride themselves of making wonderful shades with a darker twist which sets my little goth heart aflame.  I am not sure how I discovered them but I am so happy that I did. On their facebook page they state that, "Notoriously Morbid offers a line of indie eye-shadows and other cosmetics that cater to those morbid at heart." So how could I not check them out? They no only appeal to my gothic love with their series Lost in the Lodge based off one of my favorite tv shows off all time, Twin Peaks and an entire line of blushes called Ripper's Rouge, which appeals to my obsession with Jack the Ripper. But they also appeal to my gothy geek side with their brand new Slay Me collection (Wave 1 and 2 are out now and must be mine..but I digress) based of Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  So when I noticed that Carrie offered a blogger package I jumped at the opportunity to try out a variety of colors and she even offers what she calls Free Friday (where she offers something free after a certain dollar amount is spend...sometimes it is free shipping, other times it is a lip balm, or a shadow--it varies Friday to Friday) and I got a free Coffin Kisser with my purchase.
The coffin kisser is missing due to being abducted by Mr Dreadful.
For my first order I picked up the beauty blogger package which includes one full size product (my full size was Snow Queen Returns) and five sample baggies (I chose a rainbow of colors) as well as full size products to appeal to my gothy geek from The Doctor Collection ( The Doctor's Wife, Crimson Horror, Silence and Vashta Nerada).  There were even two samples one was even from an unreleased collection (Crack in the Pavement) which isn't set to release until June. Just take a look at these swatches...
All swatches were done over NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk

Tempest, from the Show a Little Burlesque Collection, is a soft metallic peach color.

Velvet Hammer, also from the Show a Little Burlesque Collection, is a stunning metallic purple with red and blue sparkles.

Cin's Sins, from the Scary Tales Collection, is gorgeous bright blue with hint of silver sparkle and a slight violet shift.

More Weight, from the Gallow's Hill Collection,  is a lovely medium metallic brown with a hint of silver.

The Doctor's Wife, from The Doctor Collection, is my other favorite from the collection of colors I received. It is brilliant semi matte dark blue with a hint of sparkle. It just makes me think of the Tardis every time I look at it.

All swatches were done over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Stake of Holly, from A Dark Christmas Dream Collection,  and is a  light green with blue sparkles.

Kompanion No. 9, from the Doctor Collection, is a light grey with a slight pink/red sheen when applied.

Silence, also from the Doctor Collection (can you tell that I am a Doctor Who fan?), is a dark green with a slight hint of metallic shimmer.

Vashta Nerada ,from the Doctor Collection (and one of my favorite episodes), is a softer black with a hint of red sparkles that show up when applied.

Crimson Horror, from The Doctor Collection is possibly my favorite of the lot since it is such a beautiful dark metallic red. (I am such a sucker for reds)

I have also swatched the other colors in a  previous post which can be found here. In order to prevent this being the longest blog review ever I will allow you to go back and take a look at them there. So one with my final thoughts and ratings..

Color/Pigmentation 9.8 out 10 bats
As you can tell from the swatches that the color pay off from theses shadows in simply intense. All of my swatches are done over Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk (since that is what I always wear when I do my eyes)  and the intensity is just amplified! Some of the colors are deceiving in their containers all you have to do is simply apply them and you will see their brilliance.

Price 9.8 out of 10 bats
I love a bargain. Period. I am on a tight budget 99% of the year so I am always looking for the best bargain for my little buck.Notoriously Morbid not only offers different sizes the shadows (ranging from baggie, to mini to full size) all at a decent price. And on top of all of that she offers her Free Friday special, and honestly who doesn't love free because even if it is free shipping you can add another shadow on to your order so how awesome is that?

Shipping/Turn Around Time 10 out of 10 bats
If you have read my blog before, you know that I am a hard ass when it comes to giving 10 out of 10 ratings. I think that it diminishes the incredible nature of getting a perfect score so I rarely give it. I won't lie, a lot of indie companies really bomb that this particular department. You know it and I know it. But when I see turn around times (TATS) of over three weeks and I can get something mailed to me internationally quicker I will take my money and my business somewhere else. I understand that a lot of them are one person shows with other jobs so it is easy for them to put their indie company on the last for their priorities. This however is NOT the case with Notoriously Morbid. Every time I have ordered from Carrie she has shipped my products out in a week to two weeks. It usually only takes a week however it did take two weeks when she was waiting on an item she had run out of. She immediately emailed me and gave me an update. She didn't leave me wondering where my package was or if my mailman was looking fabulous in drag with my new package of goodies. So color me impressed.

Customer Service 10 out of 10 bats
Getting two 10 out of 10 bats is a first for my blog so that should tell you how truly kick ass Carrie's customer service is. As I mentioned before she didn't hesitate with emailing me to let me know that there was a delay in my order due to her waiting on a product and she immediately sent it out once the order came in. However recently there was an issue with a shadow she created that wasn't true to the old formula (something with a new grinder or such) and she immediately made a statement on her webpage for people to contact her that had ordered the shadow from a specific time period and she would replace it with no questions asked. That ladies and gents is kick ass customer service. There was an issue, she owned up to it, made an announcement and took care of her customers with offering to replace the product with no cost to them. There was no debate, she didn't try to hide it or run from the problem. She handled it and took care of her customer exactly how she would want to be treated. This is excellent customer service, period.

Overall 9.9 out of 10 bats
My final impression for Notoriously Morbid that this is the real deal. This company continues to produce amazing products for great prices and offers superior customer service and turn around time which makes for a winning combination. I am thrilled with the products I have received and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. If you are looking for the next big indie company that is going to knock your socks off Notoriously Morbid is it. You couldn't ask for a better combination of creativity, awesome products and professionalism.
