Two looks for two awesome causes...

*Press*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back today with not one but TWO looks done for two separate causes that often are overlooked in the hype of this really awesome Halloween Holiday season. I was asked by two fellow BeautyBarBaby promoters to participate in collaborations these two causes and both causes are really amazing so I immediately agreed.

The first look is for Domestic Violence. I will sadly admit that I didn't know that this month was also Domestic Violence Awareness since it is often overlooked due to October also being Breast Cancer awareness Month as well. But both are equally important.
Did you know these Domestic Violence Facts?

I used the following colors from Beauty Bar Baby: Miss Daisy, Awesomeness, Ritual, Purplicious, and Ritual

Love should never hurt..

If you are a victim of domestic violence please speak up and if you are located in the United States you can call the National Domestic Hotline  1-800-799-7233

Next is the Breast Cancer Awareness look. This campaign is very dear to my heart since both my aunt and grandmother suffered and beat this terrible disease.
Save the Women !

Please be sure to check yourself often!

I used the following colors from BeautyBarBaby Miss Daisy, Strawberry Wine, Moltov Cocktail, Intoxicating and Tantalizing

I hope that you enjoyed these looks they are both done for two very important causes.
 Until next time lovelies!

Mani Monday featuring Literary Lacquer!

*Purchased* *Press Sample*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again today with a new installment of Mani Monday! First, I must apologize that this post was supposed to go up last Monday but to to the preschool chaos that was happening here I missed it. So, I do apologize. But, today I have to chance to show of some really gorgeous beauties from Literary Lacquer. Literary Lacquer is run by a wonderful lady named Amy and she creates FABULOUS polishes based off of novels! So of course being the big giant literary nerd that I am, I squealed with joy at the aspect of this.

Yup, this is my face looking at her available polishes. Cause seriously they are pretty damn epic.
When the polishes arrived I was blown away as soon as I opened the package. It was as if pure literary and polish goodness powers combined and punched me in the face with their epic-ness.

So much pure awesome in one package!
I was determined to swatch them all...

I was determined!

I originally picked this gorgeous polish, Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, which is you are a scifi junkie you  will automatically know that is from Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. It is one of my favorite books (and yes I even loved the movie hence for your viewing pleasure the fabulous animated gifs). It is described as a vibrant turquoise blue linear holographic polish with added fine holographic glitter. The description isn't kidding this polish is PACKED with holographic glitter. It hits you in the face when the sun shines on it .
That's the holo hitting you in the face.. Just be prepared.
But don't just take my word for it, take a look at this!
I would say that it is more on the green side of turquoise but either way it is fabulous.

Another sunshine shot trying to capture all that holo-y goodness.

Look at all that HOLO!

I also was lucky enough of get the Bionic MmmmDetector, from the Good Parts Collection based off Erotic Fiction, which is a polish inspired by Vox written by Nicholson Baker. For those of you who are history buffs, or actually lived thru this, this book is the same one given to President Clinton from  Monica Lewinsky. Bionic MmmmDetector is described as a black jelly packed with aqua, teal, blue and green micro glitter. I will admit that when I applied the first coat I was wondering if I needed to apply some undies underneath the polish. But I didn't, it builds up beautifully giving the polish amazing depth.
Step away from the undie polish cause this is gorgeous all on it's own!

This polish while not based on HGTG looks like an amazing space polish.

Trying to capture the glitters just right

Close up shot.. Doesn't it look like an exploding planet?
This could totally be the glitters in the polish.

Finally last but never least, Amy was sweet enough to include a sneak preview a polish, Camazotz,  from the Wrinkle in Time Collection which is another favorite book from my childhood. Camazotz is the planet that has been swallowed by the Dark Thing. This polish fits it perfectly since it is described as a black linear holo with a blue/ red shift. It can even appear purple at some angles.

Don't be sad, while the planet was swallowed by the Dark Thing the polish is fabulous!

See here it appears black

And close up you can see the purplish hue.
I loved all of the polishes so much I wanted to track Amy down and immediately hug her for combining two of my loves, books and polish into one awesome package!

So much literary and polish love!
Want to know more about Literary Lacquer? Don't Panic and know where your towel is..

And buy amazing polish..
Literary Lacquers offers full size polishes of these colors and more on her Etsy Store for $10 a piece. You can also find her on Facebook as well as Instagram to be up to date on new releases as well as sales. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of Mani Monday with Literary Laquers. So until next time lovelies, so long and thanks for all the fish!

Until next time! Read some Douglas Adams and watch HGTG!

Happy Fourth of July and a couple EOTDS!

*Press, purchased and affiliate*
Hello lovelies!
Happy 4th of July and to celebrate I have not one but TWO EOTDs from two different companies. I wanted to do both a super dramatic and a wearable look for the 4th so I decided to do two different ones. I also did both of these looks for collaborations on Facebook so it killed several birds with two stones. But enough chattering on with the pictures!

Super dramatic fireworks inspired look

So of course we have to kick off with the super dramatic one. And truth be told, I am horribly stumped when it comes to traditional red, white and blue looks so I decided to go with a fireworks theme using those colors for this look.

I used the following products from Beauty Bar Baby *Press*
Black Velvet
Miss Daisy (highlight)
White Fairy Dust
Blue Fairy Dust
Red Fairy Dust (all were mixed with a mixing medium and applied wet)

I also used the Wolfe Fx Essential Palette for my liner  *purchased*

and these lashes from the Born Pretty Store (use code KLH10 for a 10% off discount)
  *purchased & affiliate links*

My less dramatic other 4th inspired look
Here is my other 4th inspired look and I was going for something more "wearable".
For this look I used Dark Heart Designs *purchased*
Vampire Heart
Elizabeth
Grace (highlight)
Rave
Ultraviolet

I also used the same lashes from the Born Pretty Store that I used in the look above.
*purchased & affiliate links*

Granted, I would wear both of theses anywhere not everyone would. I even answered the door with both of these looks plastered on my eye when my windshield repair man came. I am sure that I am now on the list of crazy customers that that guy will tell his co workers. Did I tell him that I was doing looks for my blog? Nope. So I am sure he thinks that I am part of a Kiss Cover band or something. This is the same exact look that I had on my face when he interrupted my look (Granted he wasn't looking for my dad...)

Well I hope that you enjoyed this quick 4th of July post and I hope that everyone has a fun and safe weekend! Until next time lovelies!

EOTD/ FOTD Series: Frozen inspired look done with BeautyBarBaby

*Press and Purchased*
Hello lovelies!
I am back again this time with a new inspired look. This look was originally supposed to be a BeautyBarBaby collaboration with some other makeup artists however the creator of the collab disappeared and hasn't been seen since. So instead of letting this look lay at the bottom of a folder I decided to pull it out and share it with you. While some of you may have seen the lip look with my swatch of the Unicorn Collection, this is the dramatic eye look that it was paired with.

Lots of icy blues for this Frozen inspired look

This was done with BeautyBarBaby shadows in   *Press*
Sno Ball
Ice Queen
Pompous Blue
Blue Moon
Cat Fight
Evidence

The lips are done with BeautyBarBaby's lipsticks  *Press*
Frozen
Celestia
Amalthea

The dots and brow are done with Wolfe FX Essential Palette as well as my white lower lashes (thanks to FacebyEmily for the lash tip)  *Purchased*

I hope that you enjoyed this look and I am trying to balance makeup time with my little dreadful's summer activities. So until next time lovlies!

EOTD/FOTD Series: May the FOURTH be with you featuring BeautyBarBaby!

Hello Lovelies!
I rarely post on the weekends since it is strictly reserved for family time but since today is a special day I wanted to share my EOTD look with you. In honor of May the Fourth Be With You I decided to do a Star Wars themed look and what better way than to do a look inspired on my favorite villains, Boba Fett. Why Boba Fett you ask? Well simply because he is just a total bad ass. He doesn't whine or mope about how hard things are and poor him with his villainy, Boba Fett just owns it and revels in his awesome bounty hunter status. So that is why I am doing my first Star Wars themed looks dedicated to him. Cause I wanted to be awesome like Boba Fett when I was little.

Seriously look at this armor, total bad ass.

For this look I used the following products:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX  Jumbo pencil in Milk
That's Really Bananas - inner corner (BeautyBarBaby)
Omen - all over lid (BBB)
Meteor-outer v and in crease (BBB)
Blackened Ruby- above Meteor in the crease and the outer portion of the lower lash line (BBB)
Poisoned Apple -above Blackened Ruby and front portion of the lower lash line (BBB)
Miss Daisy- highlight/ brow bone (BBB)
Black gel Liner (BBB)
Barbara lashes from Oh My Lash

Do you have a favorite Star War Character? Who is it?

I am off to watch the original trilogy so until next time lovelies!

EOTD/ FOTD Series featuring Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Part One

Hello lovelies!
I am back again today with another EOTD/ FOTD series this time featuring another one of my favorite indie companies Lunatick Cosmetic Labs. I was feeling especially bright today since it is "supposedly" the first day of Spring. But in all honestly, Mother Nature has been on a drinking bender this winter with the strange erratic weather we have been having. We had an "ice storm" in Florida. Seriously, what the hell? Mother Nature I dunno if you were trying to regain your youth with a drinking spree but we all felt it and hope that you are back on the wagon. But I digress, here is my look of the day and I wanted something extra bright. So instantly my hands wandered to my AlieNEON glitter stacker. It is pure bright neony goodness in a glittery stacker. (** Yes it hasn't officially been approved in the US for our eyes however if it is good enough for international lovely eyes then it is good enough for me. Always test a product our on yourself first before slathering all over yourself. While I understand wanting to be fabulous, always be safe first..) So here is what I came up with a My Little Pony, Rainbow Dash, inspired look. Cause honestly who are we kidding? Neon rainbows and ponies are awesome.

Bright, glittery and NEON what more could you ask for?
For this look I used the AlieNEON stacker and Dracula's Dream from Lunatick Labs. I also used London Calling from Lit Cosmetics. For the assorted dots and the front portion of my brow I used the Essential Palette from Wolfe FX.  So there you have it . Bright, neon rainbows based of ponies if that doesn't scream spring I don't know what does.

Until next time lovelies...
