Scentopia! Review of Siberie Perfumes

Hello Lovelies! *press sample*

It has been a while since my last review and today I am reviewing a magical perfumery called Siberie Perfumes. I was approached by the owner to do a review of her lovely perfumes after she saw one of my reviews. Since I believe that one can never have too many perfumes that make you smell magical, I happily agreed. I sent her a list of perfumes I was interested in trying , since that would be a little easier to list those and the horrid death scents on me. She promptly sent me four glorious full sized scents to review. I was surprised and overwhelmed. Sadly soon after I had the worst sinus infection ever that had to go through two rounds of antibiotics before I could properly smell anything.

Before I get started on my review, I will remind everyone that perfumes are truly a subjective thing. While I may think that something smells amazing someone else can thing that it smells like bottled wet dog. Furthermore, just because something smells amazing or even kind of meh in the bottle still do a test try. Because as I have said before, BODY CHEMISTRY is EVERYTHING. One of my holy grail scents on me smelled really meh in the bottle but turns into magic on my skin. Like I want to bathe in this scent because I love it so much. So even if you don't think it smells amazing in the bottle be sure to test to see because BODY CHEMISTRY IS EVERYTHING. Now on with the review!

It was extremely difficult to choose from their massive collection of scents. I found their inspiration and well as the images used for the perfumes really pleasing. The four scents that were sent to me were Desideria, Giselle, Odette and Dragana. They arrived quickly and well packaged in a black bag sealed with a lovely thank you sticker.

Inside each of the full size bottles were enclosed in a black velvet draw string bag which was a wonderful surprise. The bottles are HUGE. Larger than any of the other bottles I have in my collection since they are 15ml and my largest bottle is 10ml I believe. See the bottle comparisons here.

10ml roll on, Siberie bottle, 5ml bottle and 2 dram bottle

I am alway super paranoid when it comes to perfume bottles since I am SUPER clumsy. I swear it  must be a super power because if I can tip it over and spill it I will. Siberie bottles are completely in mind for us clumsy people because they have stoppers to save us from losing all that gorgeous scent. For you follow slathers it will take a couple of dabs of the perfume in order to get the amount you are wanting but if you are clumsy it is worth the extra dabs.

Now on to the individual scents..

Desideria is listed on the site as a combination of vanilla bean, wood smoke, with a base of wildflower honey paired with sandalwood & myrrh resin. My body love honey and vanilla so I was thrilled that this was one of the perfumes that was sent to me. Initial cold sniff impressions , I can definitely smell the wood and the smoke with a hint of vanilla. The smokiness is very prominent in the bottle to me. When applied the smoke isn't as overwhelming at all on the skin and fades to a lovely light vanilla honey scent with a hint of sandalwood and myrrh.

Giselle is listed with the notes of ocean air, coconut cream, sweet vanilla, and a soft golden amber and is described as a beachy fragrance with an ozonic base. Both amber and vanilla are two of my go to scents I was super excited to try this one. We are also still sitting in the high eighties here in Florida I would be able to wear this as a "summer" scent.  First impressions from the bottle I get a lot of the coconut cream right off the bat as well as the vanilla sweetness. Applied it dries down light and airy mingled with the creaminess of vanilla and the hint of coconut cream and a dash of amber. It makes me feel like I need to be drinking nice cold frozen drinks with flowers and umbrellas.

Odette was described as sweet wildflower honey, delicate honeysuckle flowers with a base of fresh fallen rain and jasmine sambac. First sniff from the bottle I smell a good combination of rain and jasmine. After it is applied and mellows out on my skin the jasmine and the rain are no longer as strong and the delicate honey and honeysuckle scents come through. It reminds me of rains down here in the summer when the honeysuckle is in bloom. While it is a floral, it is a light floral and doesn't resemble the super florals grandmas love to wear.

Dragana is the bolder of the four with notes of burning firewood, dragon's blood, fresh oakmoss, red rose and a dark amber resin. It is was I would describe as a heavier more incense kind of smell verses the other three which are considerably lighter. First sniff impressions I immediately pick up on the firewood and the dragon's blood since I consider them the heavier of the notes.  Once applied on my skin it smoke and the dragon's blood are prominent at first but later mellow out to more of the woodsy smell of oakmoss and the sexy musk of amber. There is a slight hint of rose but my chemistry loves oakmoss and tends to amp it over. I tend to wear "heavier" perfumes during the winter so this will definitely be at the top of my daily list.

I am super pleased with all the scents that I received from Siberie and even with them being in Canada and me located all the way down in Florida, they arrived super quickly and were packaged wonderfully. I am still in awe of how massive these bottles are and for $12.95 per bottle you won't break the bank picking up more than one. If you are new to perfumes and are just starting out I really suggest sampler packages so you can try a variety of scents to see what works with you. Or if you can't decide and want to try samples before committing to a bottle then they have the pick three scents options for 9.95 .They are vegan and cruelty free so get all the honey scents you want the bees are okay! Overall I loved all the scents I received and I look forward to ordering from them in the future.   You can order from Siberie on their website and on Etsy .  Until next time lovelies!

A Swatch Here and a Swatch There... MOAR BeautyBarBar Shadows Part 2 !

*Press Sample*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with more swatches and even an eye swatch or two from BeautyBarBaby. I just can't get enough of her lovely products that I am constantly like this when I see something new coming out...
Yup, this is me a total BBB addict.
However, I have noticed that I hadn't run across too many swatches on the net so I needed to remedy that.

Cause if there are more addicts out there she will create more products for us, RIGHT?

So without further ado, here are some more swatches for you enjoy and hopefully become as hopelessly addicted to her products as I am.

Shagadelic Mojo is from the Fireworks Duo Chrome Collection. It is described as an iced mocha with blue, silver and red shifting undertones. While I am not a coffee drinker (I know I am some strange mutant not of this Earth) I would describe it as a creamy mocha with a lovely trio of shifts. I usually see more of the silver and blue in this swatch but when the light hits it just right the red shimmers through. It is delicate enough to wear everyday but the shifts just keep people guessing.

Sinner is described as a rich shimmery taupe/ blackened plum with gold sparks. I think that it is more of a marriage of taupe and plum since both colors are present but neither are overpowering. It is a great color to wear either by itself as in the eye swatch or with others.

Stinger is currently out of stock due to her recent sale, but keep an eye out for it being restocked. It is a gorgeous bright aqua blue . It reminds me of mermaids and would make an amazing eyeliner.

Ice Queen is described as a pearlescent silvery baby blue with gold undertones. The combination of both the silver and the light blue does give it as a pearly sheen and the hint of gold makes simply gorgeous!

Supergirl is described as a twist of vivid purple and blues with violet interference undertones. This is a lovely blurple color leaning more towards blue however the purple is definitely there. I love this color and for some reason the combination of the name and the color always makes me think of the classic Supergirl movie with Helen Slater.

Last but not least is White Chocolate, which is part of her new matte line. It is a primary white matte shade. This is always one of my favorite go to colors cause I can either use it in a look or as a highlight. Cause honestly everyone needs a matte white in their shadow collection since it is so versatile.

Well I hope that you enjoyed this newest installment of a Swatch Here and Swatch There with BeautyBarBaby. I have plenty to swatch and share with all of you so this will be an on going series (and yes, there will be other companies featured to cause you have to share the love and the addiction). If you would like to pick up these shades , or any others you can do so at the BeautyBarBaby site on Etsy. You can also follow BBB on Facebook, Instagram and their Fan Group on Facebook for the newest sneak peeks of upcoming collections. Until next time lovelies!

Late Mani Monday Post: Featuring Patina from Gothic Gala Lacquers!

*Press Sample*
Hello Lovelies!
Sorry for the late posting today for my Mani Monday post, unfortunately my internet has been having issues today and has been down off and on all day. I can only guess that it has been from the epic wave of thunderstorms that we have been having recently.

Yup, this was my internet today..
However I am back today with another Mani Monday post with Gothic Gala Lacquer's, PatinaPatina, is the newest last minute edition to the awesome Steam Punk Collection that GGL put out at the beginning of this month that I was lucky to swatch for her. Samantha did an excellent job capturing the grittier, yet still beautiful side of Steam Punk that people often over look with nice bright and shiny things.

Gritty and beautiful always make me think of Steam Punk

Patina is listed on the site as a teal leaning more towards green with a shimmer. It is simply a gorgeous light blue green with a golden shimmer much like the green that sometimes appears when copper oxides. Just take a look since I did manage to take some photos in between downpours.

 Naturally Matte

Naturally Matte

Patina is naturally a gorgeous matte polish but looks just as beautiful with a shiny top coat. Due it is being a matte, the polish consistency is thicker and I only needed two coats for this mani. You can purchase Patina at Gothic Gala Lacquers' site. However you can also follow GGL on Facebook, the Facebook Fangroup and Instagram. I hope that you enjoyed this late Mani Monday! Until next time lovelies!

A Swatch Here and a Swatch There..BeautyBarBaby Shadows Swatches Part One!

*Press Sample*

Hello lovelies,
I am back today with a super quick post of some arm and an eye swatch of some lovely BeautyBarBaby shadows. I have been slacking on my posts due to the chaos that is wedding planning which makes me want to beat myself in the head with my keyboard. But, I am hoping to catch up in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned and let's get started cause these colors are to die for.
Yup , no lie these colors are FABULOUS.

First off.. The Beast Unleashed, from the Fireworks collection,  is described as a blackened plum duo chrome eye shadow with bluem red and green shifts. This is a beautiful smoky plum with amazing shifts. I see more blue first off but when the light hits it just right you can catch the subtle green and red shift.

Next, we have Devil's Breath which is described as a semi shimmery hot red with lots of red sparkles. It is a nice and vibrant red which I would consider more of an orange based red (due to the vibrancy) over a blue based red. Lots of shimmer and lots of sparkle so it is a win, win situation for me.

Ice Breakers is from the new mattes at BeautyBarBaby. It is currently being restocked and it is a gorgeous matte light blue a close cousin of the light mint green.

Blue Velvet is one of my favorites out of the new Matte shadows. It is described as a bright matte vivid blue and it totally is! Just take a look! It is so gorgeous I am sure that Elvis would approve.

Miss Daisy is another one of my favorite shadows. It is one of my constant go to highlight colors. It is described as a shimmery soft gold with hints of pink sparkles and violet interference undertones. It is soft creamy light gold with just a hint of sparkle when the sun catches it just right.

Finally, last but not least, is T-1000 which is named after the liquid metal terminator in T2. It is described as a bold metallic silvery grey shade. But honestly, look at this color! It is beautiful glorious liquid silver.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed this swatch-fest and there will be more coming the next couple of weeks as well as looks and hopefully a review or two so fingers crossed. If you would like to pick up any of these lovely colors are you can do at BeautyBarBaby on Etsy. You can follow her on her Facebook, Instagram, and join the Facebook Fan Group to get all the latest sneak peeks. So until next time lovelies!

A Swatch Here and A Swatch There: The New Lipcraft Glosses from Notoriously Morbid

*Purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back! I know some of you are wondering where the hell have I been? Or at least I am hoping that some of you have missed me.

Yeah, here is to hoping..

I have been attempting to wrangle my horde and get them ready for school which starts for two of them on Monday so hence the dash to the store for supplies, orientation, realizing that you forgot to buy pens for your oldest and then having to go BACK to the store, swimming lessons and of course everything in between. On top of all of that my computer decided to constantly reboot itself for a day making it impossible for me to hop on line and post. Cause I will freely admit that now I have become addicted to animated gifs and sarcastic photos to get my rambling across that I can't imagine my blog without them.

Animated gifs are so much fun!

But I am finally back today with the end in sight since school starts on Monday and everything is done.

Yeah, who am I kidding. Nothing is EVER done.

And of top of that I received some Morbid Mail (mail from Notoriously Morbid) with her new Lipcraft Glosses. Yup, lip glosses and Lovecraft mingled together to have these gorgeous love children. Oh the joy! My dark heart was set a flutter. I immediately ripped open the package and slathered these lippies on.

This is EXACTLY what I looked like 2 seconds after opening up the package.

Just take a look at them..

Yup, I made all kinds of weird duck faces for these swatches for you to enjoy.

Pale Sanity

Pale Sanity is described on the site as a creamy tangerine with a gold shift with a sheer opacity. While most people automatically think of ORANGE when they see the word tangerine. However it is what I would call a neutral orange. It is pale and creamy with a hint of gold perfect for a nude lip.

Serannian Dreams

Serannian Dreams is described as a hot bubblegum pink which has medium to full opaque coverage. This gloss is BRIGHT especially on the girls with corpse like complexions that I have. It doesn't take much to get fully opaque which is an awesome plus.

Cosmic Gulfs

Finally, last but not least, is Cosmic Gulfs which is described as a metallic purple with medium opaque coverage. So if you if you are follower of my blog, I immediately must have anything with the term metallic on it. So, I had to definitely get this gloss. It is a gorgeous medium purple which builds up to fully opaque quite nicely. While some of you may think that metallic automatically makes you think that you are going to have metal lips and it isn't wearable. This is what I would call a wearable metallic. It isn't BOOM I have super robotic lips that are so awesome I can destroy a city instantly! It is a nice subtle vampy metallic purple which you can wear without people thinking you are here to take over the planet. As you can tell this is my favorite of the three since I love metallics (even super destroying planet domination lips) and purple.

If you are hell bent on world domination work on your evil villain laugh in this lipgloss.

So if you have the yearning to add some awesome Lipcraft Gloss to your lips you can purchase them here for$4.50 each.
They can all be yours...

You can also follow Notoriously Morbid on Facebook, Instagram and in their fan group on FaceBook. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of A Swatch Here and A Swatch There! Until next time lovelies!
