Mani Monday with MOAR Drunken Stamping featuring Vapid Laquer

*Purchased*

    Hello Lovelies!
It has been forever and a day since I have done a Mani Monday post. Partially because my poor nails went through a horrible phase of peeling and being over all ugly little nubbies.  But I have managed to get it under control with lots of moisturizing and honestly cutting the split/peel out of them when they appear. While I don't know if that was the best solution it worked for me. I also moved to an acetone with a lavender essential oil added to it so it isn't such a harsh toil on my nails when I remove my polish. But since the "girls" are on the mend I decided to do a Mani Monday post featuring one of my favorite indies, Vapid Lacquer.

Now, I know that there was a HUGE HOT MESS going on in the indie polish community with the Mentality issue. There is no need for me to rehash that drama but in case you missed it there are several posts about what happened and seriously all you have to do is look up the #mentalityburns and see what I am talking about. This issue cause a huge backlash in the indie polish community causing people to stop buying indie polishes. Now what happened with Mentality is HORRIBLE ( and down right fucked up) but that is NOT the norm and all of the lovely ladies that I have purchases my indie polishes from are wonderful and I have had NO side effects whatsoever. Well, okay the only side effect I had was FABULOUS looking nails with kick ass polish on them but that is what we want. But enough of that...

So we all know that Halloween is coming up and of course, with no surprise, it is my favorite holiday. Last year, Krys ( the talented owner of Vapid Lacquer)  made an incredible Halloween collection and I managed to score not one but two of these highly coveted polishes, Witching Hour and Vampires Don't Sparkle (which always reminds me of this image which makes me laugh EVERY time I see it).

Girl, you go that right, That is not acceptable at all...

So I decided to do a vampy gradient of the two plus some stamping and I learned two very important things.

     1. Stamping is a skill and an art. If it isn't practiced on a regular basis you WILL revert back to your craptacular stamping skills. (So please don't judge these polishes on my shitty stamping)

     2. Gradients are awesome on all nail lengths however I need some practice doing it on nubs. (Again don't judge these polishes on my crappy gradient job)

Yup this is pretty crappy and doesn't do the polishes justice...

I also took some polish bottle shots so you can truly see the beauty of these polishes since my nails are not a great representation. I know some of you may ask if you think that your polish job is so crappy why are you sharing it? Well honestly there are lots of people who love polish but are super polish masters or stampers right now. If I can get better seriously ANYONE can. There is hope for you. Also it is because Krys is a bad ass and makes incredible polishes. After the drama that has gone on from Mentality people need to know that there are incredible makers of kick ass polishes who aren't about the drama. (I will also be doing more Mani Mondays to feature and shout out the other awesome companies and makers so show my love)

Now while you can't get these polishes right now you CAN get them for a limited time restock for the non sparkly spooky season on October 3rd for a one time restock! Yup ladies and gents mark you calenders and get your click on to purchase these two plus Apparition and Purple Poison only on this date until they are sold out. However Kry is also releasing a Fall Collection that will around until the end of the year so you don't have to kneecap your polish friends in order to pick up a limited stock of those. Now where can you pick up these gorgeous goodies? You can pick them up here and stalk them like a ninja on October 3! Now go prepare yourself to be the Vapid Lacquer Ninja ready to stalk the ALL THE POLISH!  I hope that enjoyed this installment of Mani Monday, until next time lovelies!

Mani Monday... The Darkest Kiss always requires a Thank You..

*Gift, Purchased, Affiliate Link*

Hello Lovelies,
I am back with another Mani Monday post after forever. During the holidays, quite honestly EVERYTHING was crazy. Then after the holidays not only did my kids get the flu but they also shared that horrible plague with me as well. So needless to say that my nails were horribly neglected and quite frankly they looked like shit.  I know I should hang my head in shame over that fact but I just recently started doing my nails again which is horribly sad and I wanted to get back into the swing of posting manis and beauty posts since I have been doing nothing but reviews. So this is the first of many new Mani Monday posts and if you follow me on Instagram you would have actually seen my poor attempt to film trying to capture the holo. However I did manage to capture hints of it here and there on film.

I used the following polishes for this mani
Opi Base Coat
Gothic Gala Lacquer Darkest Kiss
Pure Ice Superstar (for stamping on the thumb and the ring finger)
Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-12 (use discount code KLH10 to save some money)
Gothic Gala Lacquer Thank You Flake Top Coat
Vapid Lacquer's Fast Drying Top Coat.

I hope that you enjoyed this Mani Monday installment and until next time lovelies!

Mani Monday Catch Me If You Can Super Star!

*Purchased*
Hello Lovelies,

It has been one hell of a Monday and I do apologize for this being a late Mani Monday Post. Two of my three little Dreadfuls are sick. One with the flu and one with an upper respiratory infection so that means I have had no sleep and I am paying for my pediatricians power bill this month.

Yup, this is what I look like right now...

And I just want to scream this to the universe cause I feel like crap...(which I hope that I am just tired and NOT getting sick..)

Universe take note, I am trying hard today not to be a homicidal maniac. Cut a girl some slack..

But on a brighter not I do have some really pretty nails for you...

I used the following this for this mani:
Opi Natural Strengthening Base Coat
Vapid Lacquer's Catch Me If You Can
Pure Ice SuperStar (stamped)
Born Pretty Stamping Plate BP 17  (use code KLH10 for 10% off your purchase)
Vapid Lacquer's Get Your Shine On! Quick Drying Top Coat

Sadly, today is gray and dreary so I couldn't catch the awesome holo effect. But TRUST me, it is pretty damn epic when the sun hits it. You and purchase this amazing polish and my go to fast drying top coat here (cause there is NO shrinking like some other top coats). You can also follow Vapid Lacquer on Facebook, her Facebook Fangroup and follow her on IG. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of Monday and be sure to follow me on IG as well!

Mani Monday..Gradients and Drunken Stamping...

*Purchased*

   Hello Lovelies,
I am back again with another Mani Monday installment. I debated whether or not to post this mani since I am really MEH about it.
Yup, this is my exact face while I am writing this blog post.

Originally I had this awesome idea of doing a red to black gradient and then stamping this rose stamp over it to give it an epic rose look.

I could visualize the awesomeness...

The gradient came out better than I imagined so I was super excited to stamp over this cause I knew that this was going to be gorgeous. However I was yet again betrayed by my stamper. It just refused to pick up ANY of the black stamping polish whatsoever.

WHY?? WHY DID YOU BETRAY ME?!?!?!

But I was determined to have this rose stamp on my nails when I should have listened to my stamper which was trying to tell me to leave it be in order and just rock the gradient. BUT, no,  I was a dumb ass.

Yes, yes I am. I should have left the gradient alone.

The white is pretty however it wasn't the feel or the look that I was going for. So here my mani is all its' meh glory.

Those patterns SHOULD have been roses but now the obscure the gradient.

I used the following polishes for this mani (and don't hold it against them cause they are all gorgeous)
Opi Natural Strengthening Base Coat
Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar
Vapid Lacquers Vampires Don't Sparkle
Sinful Colors Oil Slick
Pure Ice Superstar

So the lesson learned is that if my stamper won't pick the black and you have an awesome gradient. LEAVE THE SHIT ALONE DREADFUL. Do NOT IMPROVISE.  While Vampires Don't Sparkle is not available on Vapid Lacquers site you might be able to contact the owner and see if you can get a custom. But you will see it on the next nail post cause I have to do it justice.

A little bit of lace with some blackened amethyst.

*Purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
Welcome back to another installment of Mani Monday and MOAR drunk stamping. I swear that I will eventually get this stamping deal down however I still haven't quite perfected my technique. So while I am struggling you can feel better about your own nails. ^_~

The struggle is real and especially worse with stamping...

The holidays are gearing up with Thanksgiving this coming Thursday. Mr Dreadful is off for a week and I have to get my holiday back on to visit my parents. We take the Dreadful horde over to their house and celebrate Thanksgiving there and then celebrate Christmas here.  However like from my previous post, I am HATE the holiday shopping ordeal.

See that vacant look...not happening

Yup totally staying home...

Mr Dreadful is hoping to snag some Black Friday deals and that is ALL him. I am staying home away from people and working on my manicure and stamping. I may even do a makeup look or two. But I am not going ANYWHERE near a store.
That is right Godzilla, fuck that shit..

I will however hit the web for some awesome Cyber Monday deals cause some are just too good to pass up. But enough chattering about the holidays and on with the thing that you came here for..NAILS!

You can even see the epic Holo through my craptacular stamping!

I used the following products for this manicure
Opi Strengthening Base Coat
Vapid Lacquer's Blackened Amethyst
Gothic Gala Lacquers Basic White Stamping Polish
Born Pretty Chic Lace Stamping Plate BP-02  (Use Discount Code KLH10 for a discount off your purchase and free shipping)
Vapid Lacquer's Fast Drying Top Coat

This was my first time using the Born Pretty Stamping Plates and I was extremely pleased with how well they stamped. There will be a review on them coming up in the near future after I survive the holidays. If you are wanting to pick up Blackened Amethyst from Vapid Lacquer you can do so here. You can also follow her on Facebook, on her Facebook Fan Group, and even on Instagram. I hope that you enjoyed this version of Mani Monday! Until next time lovelies...

Mani Monday:When Stars Fell During the South Haven Sunset with a hint of Drunk Stamping

Hello Lovelies,
I am back and feeling much better for this weekly installment of Mani Monday and of course some MOAR drunk stamping. It has been far to long since I last attempted to stamp and I wanted to do something today that made me bust out the stamper.

Stamping makes me feel fabulous and sassy!

Surprisingly enough, my stamping wasn't as bad as I thought that it would be and the  Gothic Gala Laquer's Stamping polish in Antique Gold over Carpe Noctem Cosmetic's South Haven was a nice and subtle look which you could get away with in a conservative work place.

I was glowing with delight that my stamper didn't betray me.
I wanted to do something fall/winter inspired without using the traditional colors and stamps without being too traditional. But just take a look and tell me what you think!

Sadly, my nails broke the day before I did this mani, Isn't it always the case?

I was trying to capture the duo chrome effect of South Haven Sunset

Apparently it is still going to take a while for me to get this stamping thing down.
I used the following polishes for this look:
Opi Nail Strengthening Base Coat
Carpe Noctem Cosmetics South Haven Sunset
Gothic Gala Lacquers Antique Gold Stamping Polish
Vapid Lacquers Fast Drying Top Coat
Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM-021

While I know that the stamping isn't perfect and didn't cover the entire nail in the last photo I was pretty pleased with how this look turned out. I felt pretty damn fabulous.

Yup this is how I felt about my nails.

You can follow Carpe Noctem Cosmetics on Facebook, in the Facebook Fangroup and on Instagram. You can also follow Gothic Gala Lacquerson Facebook, in her Facebook Fangoup and on Instagram as well. And finally last but not least, you can also follow Vapid Lacquer on Facebook, in her Facebook Fangroup and also on Instagram. I hope that you liked today's installment of Mani Monday (with a hint of drunk stamping) and tell me what is your current favorite mani color for the season?

Mani Monday: MOAR Drunk Stamping...Holy Crap I STAMPED!

*purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with MOAR Drunk Stamping!Surprisingly enough, this isn't an indie post! But I was looking for some colors to do a new polish and nothing seemed to catch my eye. However I did have some nice Sinful colors that caught my eye. However, I couldn't decide on which one I wanted to use. So, I had tried a gradient polished look before so I figured that I would give it another try since it had been several months since I last attempted it. So I gathered up the polishes and the various other clean up supplies, top coats and base coat and I was ready to go..

That's right I was going to do a bad ass gradient polish..
Then apparently, since I was feeling like an invincible bad ass  and drunk with polish power I figured why not go ahead and throw some stamping on top of some gradient nails? I had gotten a new stamper so this was the BEST time to try it out! I just knew it was going to be..
My nails were gonna ROCK!

Needless to say I was pretty damn pleased with how my nails came out. I won't lie there were a couple of times that I had to remove the stamp and do it all over again BUT I really liked how they turned out. Just take a peek....

While my stamping obviously needs work I am pretty damn pleased...
I used the following this for this fabulous gradient stamped look
Nail Trek II
Sinful Colors Mint Apple
Sinful Colors Rise & Shine
Sinful Colors Savage
White Stamping Polish from BornPrettyStore (use code KLH10 for 10% off your purchase)
Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM19

While this isn't the best stamping I have seen out there, it is the best that I have done and it makes me feel pretty frickin fabulous staring that my stamping job.

I totally feel like this moth when I look at my nails.

Bonus photo! While I was outside contorting my fingers trying to get the best polish shot, I had a beautiful little visitor come out and inspect my nails. Okay, maybe he didn't inspect them but I had to take a photo of him cause his tail was simply gorgeous and possibly my next gradient attempt.
Yup, my tail is as fabulous as that moth!
However, my polish assistant was not amused with having his photo taken...

Well, I hope that you enjoyed this Mani Monday installment of Drunk Stamping! While I am not delusional in thinking that I am an expert stamper. I possibly can raise my status from a raging falling down drunk stamper to possibly an AbFab Patsy Stamper if this stamping streak keeps up. So until next time lovelies!

Yup, it is time to have a drink to celebrate my stamping skillz!

Mani Monday: OMG Galactic Gorgeousness of Pandora's Cluster from Vapid Lacquer

*Purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
Welcome back to another Mani Monday! Today, I have a polish of galactic gorgeous portions so naturally what goes best with the galaxy? Yup, that is right, STAR TREK!

Even Spock agrees!
A little while back, Vapid Lacquer released a special line of polishes in celebration the one year anniversary of Vapid Lacquer polishes and MAN! What a special celebration line it is! As you can all ready guess, Space (the Final Frontier...no really just space) was the theme.
Take that in for a moment, space nails...in polish form.
So, naturally I had to have them. Because I absolutely LOVE space themed anything and space nails in polish form = FUCKING FABULOUS.

OMG SPACE NAIL POLISH!
And Krys, from Vapid Lacquer, NAILED it. Literally with this theme and these polishes. I am bringing one to you today out of the three that I ordered since in all truth I couldn't swatch and then remove this polish. It was just too damn pretty to do that. Seriously, take a look..
I love how the color constantly changes in different lighting and from different angles.

You can see the awesome epic shift from each nail.
Pandora's Cluster is described as a stunning shift from violet to red with gorgeous stretches from orange to green. It is a constant shifter and you will be staring at your nails constantly because this polish is gorgeous!
Yup, there goes your beauty budget. However, your nails will be fabulous!
You can purchase this polish as well as the other from the space collection from Vapid Lacquer. You can also follow her on Facebook, Instagram and join her Facebook Fan Group in order to get the most up to date sales and sneak peeks at new upcoming polish releases! Until next time lovelies!
