Mani Monday: Moar Drunk Stamping! Revenge of the Stamper....

*purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
Welcome back to another installment of Mani Monday! Today I am featuring a lovely polish from Literary Lacquers, Lake of Shining Waters. Due to being drunk from my stamping success last week I decided to go ahead and stamp again. Because with one success there has to be another right??
Cause one success equals an automatic success right?
I love Literary Lacquers Lake of Shining Waters is a gorgeous teal linear holographic polish so of course white would pop fantastically against it. So I painted my nails with Lake of Shining Waters and I was like...
This polish totally looked AMAZING.
And then I had the dilemma that I wanted to stamp on top of this polish..
Technically, it wasn't repainting my nails but the stamper was steadily giving me shots of courage..
So, I finally decided to go ahead a stamp on top of this polish I was drunk with stamping courage so with tears in my eyes I took up the stamper with a mission to make this polish look fabulous.
I was both nervous and drunk with stamping anticipation...
Then I picked up the stamper and then the stamper betrayed me...
My stamper totally acted like this towards me.
While this polish is truly amazing, my stamping is not. While it is a learning curve....
Just look at the polish and not focus on my craptacular stamping...

You will also have to forgive the crappy indoor lighting. It has been raining for two days straight so I don't have any awesome natural light to capture the beautiful holo effect.

I used :
Nail Trek II
Bundle Monster Plate 212

While this isn't as bad as some of my other stamping attempts I really wished that I had put the stamper down and left this polish alone cause it is simply beautiful. You can purchase Lake of Shining Waters from Literary Lacquers on Etsy.  You can also follow her on Facebook and Instagram as well. She is also having a 2 year anniversary giveaway that you still have time for to enter! Quick! Head over to Literary Lacquer's Facebook and enter!I hope that you enjoyed this installment of Mani Monday (and my drunk stamping) and until next time lovelies!

Don't judge a polish from my bad stamping job go check it out for yourself

Mani Monday: MOAR Drunk Stamping...Holy Crap I STAMPED!

*purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with MOAR Drunk Stamping!Surprisingly enough, this isn't an indie post! But I was looking for some colors to do a new polish and nothing seemed to catch my eye. However I did have some nice Sinful colors that caught my eye. However, I couldn't decide on which one I wanted to use. So, I had tried a gradient polished look before so I figured that I would give it another try since it had been several months since I last attempted it. So I gathered up the polishes and the various other clean up supplies, top coats and base coat and I was ready to go..

That's right I was going to do a bad ass gradient polish..
Then apparently, since I was feeling like an invincible bad ass  and drunk with polish power I figured why not go ahead and throw some stamping on top of some gradient nails? I had gotten a new stamper so this was the BEST time to try it out! I just knew it was going to be..
My nails were gonna ROCK!

Needless to say I was pretty damn pleased with how my nails came out. I won't lie there were a couple of times that I had to remove the stamp and do it all over again BUT I really liked how they turned out. Just take a peek....

While my stamping obviously needs work I am pretty damn pleased...
I used the following this for this fabulous gradient stamped look
Nail Trek II
Sinful Colors Mint Apple
Sinful Colors Rise & Shine
Sinful Colors Savage
White Stamping Polish from BornPrettyStore (use code KLH10 for 10% off your purchase)
Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM19

While this isn't the best stamping I have seen out there, it is the best that I have done and it makes me feel pretty frickin fabulous staring that my stamping job.

I totally feel like this moth when I look at my nails.

Bonus photo! While I was outside contorting my fingers trying to get the best polish shot, I had a beautiful little visitor come out and inspect my nails. Okay, maybe he didn't inspect them but I had to take a photo of him cause his tail was simply gorgeous and possibly my next gradient attempt.
Yup, my tail is as fabulous as that moth!
However, my polish assistant was not amused with having his photo taken...

Well, I hope that you enjoyed this Mani Monday installment of Drunk Stamping! While I am not delusional in thinking that I am an expert stamper. I possibly can raise my status from a raging falling down drunk stamper to possibly an AbFab Patsy Stamper if this stamping streak keeps up. So until next time lovelies!

Yup, it is time to have a drink to celebrate my stamping skillz!

Mani Monday: Take a Drink Michael...and drunken bat stamping..

*Purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
Welcome back to another installment of Mani Monday! Today I am featuring the custom color, Take A Drink Michael from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics. Now if you are anything like me with a love of vampires and vampire movies, this color will instantly make you completely fangirl (or fanboy) out completely...

Did someone say The Lost Boys?

Yes, lovelies this polish was originally done as a special request custom order for one of her customers and I had seen swatches of it in the Seize the Night fangroup on Facebook and instantly fell in love. Cause I don't know about you, but The Lost Boys is still one of my all time favorite horror movies of all time.

Who didn't want to live forever as a bad ass vampire like David ?

There was some talk of this becoming a part of her collection around Christmas time and she was clearing out some of her stock and there was a bottle or two of  Take a Drink that she still had left. I wasn't able to order it then and it made me a horribly sad panda that I missed out on this collection. I could feel David judging me.
I could sense his disappointment when I didn't pick up the polish.

So, I recently ordered a mystery grab bag offer that she has on her site. I messaged her and asked if by chance she still had a bottle of Take a Drink Michael with the slight chance that there still was one bottle of this gorgeous polish and to my joy there was! I could have awesome amazing Lost Boys inspired polish adoring my fingers and toes!

Can you tell that I was hot for David in the movie?
**SEMI SPOILER if you haven't watched this movie... so stop reading and go watch this movie NOW then continue reading this blog. ^_~ **

Take a Drink, Michael is a gorgeous reddish purple holo that captures the moment in the movie where Michael takes a drink from an old wine bottle thinking that it is wine but it is secretly is drinking David's blood.

David was a rocking hottie even IF he was sporting the dreaded mullet.
Just take a look at it!

Outdoor and overcast
Since the sun wouldn't agree with me due to the storm system that is moving through the area I was forced to take my photos inside.
Check out that gorgeous reddish purple goodness. So Vampy but also so wearable during daylight!

Check out that holo bottle shot! It is almost as if someone ground up a Cullen and put it in a bottle.

Now I couldn't be a complete creature of the night without adding some bats to my nails. So, I dug through my stamping plates and found two lone bats and I needed to add them to my nails. Now, if you read my last Mani Monday post you know how much I truly suck at stamping. But I couldn't have my Lost Boys mani without the bats so I took the plunge and busted out my white stamping polish and went to town.
Let's do this!

Surprisingly, my stamping worked (as you seen in the photos above) however if you take a look apparently I stamped my bats upside down so they are drunk bats...So the stamping gods and I are currently at a stalemate since I could get the stamp to transfer but it is upside down. O.o

Yup, that is the stamping gods giving me the finger...
If you are dying for this polish, never fear it is set to return as part of the upcoming Halloween collection but as a linear holo instead of a scattered. So you can either gather your pennies and wait until it is released then and allow David to judge you as well. Or you can take the plunge and order a custom polish and have Carpe Noctem Cosmetics make you one right away. You are find CNC on Etsy, Facebook and even their fan group on Facebook. Hope that you enjoyed this installment of Mani Monday (and my horrible drunk stamping) so until next time lovelies I am off to watch the Lost Boys again!

Mani Monday complete with table flipping, failed stamping and drunken dots...

*Purchased*
Hello lovelies,
Welcome back to another installment of Mani Monday! Today I am featuring Gothic Gala Lacquers' Hot Pants from her new Rave collection. It is a gorgeous bright and vibrant highlighter yellow which glows the in dark. Yes, you heard me correctly this yellow polish GLOWS in the FRICKIN dark. How awesome is that? You can have your own light switch rave with this polish..
But instead of a glow stick all you need is this polish

So I was super excited and determined to use this kick ass polish and stamp some epic level design on it.

I was going to have simply fabulous nails!
So in order to hold off spontaneously combusting  from too much awesome win with these glow in the dark nails I decided to only paint my accent nails in Hot Pants and then attempt to stamp Hot Pants on black nails. It sounds like a good solid plan right?

And then I will stamp these nails and they will look FABULOUS!
Well, apparently not. It seemed that everything was going to go wrong. Everything started out fantastic. The polish applied like a dream and was nice an opaque after two coats and surprisingly enough I only had one bottle of black polish (I know that this must me some kind of gothic sin only own one bottle but surprisingly I do. Perhaps Ninjas who want fabulous nails took off with the other bottles who knows where they went). Then stamping happened...
I thought that everything was under control...
So while the glow in the dark polish is awesome on my nails, it wasn't thick enough for stamping on black which I was okay with cause I was going to do a nice awesome skull with some black stamping polish in the middle of my accent nail and call it a day. But NO... That wasn't going to happen either. No matter how hard I tried the skull wouldn't fully transfer on to my stamper.  And after the 10th time I finally gave up...

Yup, this is me after the 4th time trying to get the stamper to work...

So I was still determined to have awesome nails to go with my awesome polish. Samantha, the owner of Gothic Gala gave a sneak peek of the Rave collection with awesome dotting so I figured that I could do that...Cause how hard could be it using a dotting tool? Apparently I need to go watch some dotting tutorials on Youtube cause....

Yup, this fail is pretty damn epic...

I hang my head in shame at this horrendous dotting attempt and I have to apologize to Samantha cause her polish is way too cool for my craptacular nail art. Please, don't judge a polish from my lack of nail art skill. It really is a gorgeous polish.

Yup, apparently dots with a dotting tool is harder than I thought.

I dunno what the hello happened, but this is an epic FAIL!

So, while the last polish update was full of so much win, the nail art gods and goddess have decided to humble me with this EPIC fail. Now I am off to flip a table and watch YouTube tutorials in order to figure out how to dot my damn nails.

So thanks for reading this Mani Monday installment of my EPIC FAIL at nail art..

  Until next time lovelies...

Mani Monday: Sailor Mercury Transformation Mani and MOAR Drunk Stamping!

*Purchased*
Hello again lovelies!
Welcome back to another installment of Mani Monday! Today I am featuring TWO polishes from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics (well technically one is a polish and the other could be considers a glitter/holo topper but none the less there are TWO) and yes I was overwhelmed with the need to attempt to stamp my nails again so this is a part two of Drunk Stamping as well!  Since I am so excited over the new reboot of Sailor Moon (Sailor Moon Crystal for those of you who aren't Moonies) I wanted to do something sparkly and girlie!

Seriously, look at this? I will fully admit I screamed like a fan girl over this shit.
While I was brave enough (or drunk enough of polish fumes) to do a Sailor Moon themed nail, I figured that a starry night sky would be like easing into the realm of nail creativity . I pulled out my indie polishes that I haven't shared and decided upon these two awesome gems from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics, Winter Solstice and Holo Hex which were part of my Grab Bag. Winter Solstice was a lovely pale metallic blue holo and paired with the glittery Holo Hex Top coat which is simply nothing but pure sparkles in a bottle reminds me of Sailor Mercury's gorgeous transformation from the Classic Sailor Moon.

So after my first adventure down the spiraling addictive path of drunk stamping I decided to attempt this again to give my nails the even more sparkly transformation feel. So again I busted out my stamping plates and stamping polish! The white polish was thick that it was just a glob on the plate when I first attempted to stamp. But I was determined to have some stars on my nails in the name of Sailor Mercury and all the Sailor Scouts!

I was going to add stars to my nails if it killed me!

So I remembered the mention of adding some nail polish remover/acetone to the polish to thin it out and it worked like a dream! I was victorious and the smell of victory INSTANTLY went to my head.

Yup, the fumes went to my head and I thought that I was invincible!
Surprisingly enough, I did manage to stamp stars on my nails though they weren't the best nor the most pronounced but I did it and I managed to make it look like a kid did the stamping other than a toddler and I even stopped myself before fully becoming drunk with stamping power and ruining the whole polish look. Just take a gander...

Check out that light blue metallic holo from Winter Solstice.

Once can never have enough HOLO! So add the awesome Holo Hex glitter polish

So since I did manage to save the look from my drunk stamping rampage I would have to say that this adventure in drunk stamping is a WIN!
And if Picard says so it must be True!
While the polishes are currently not up in the Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Etsy you can be bold and brave and pick up a Grab Bag and possibly score the two polishes I have right here. Or if you didn't want to take your chance you can always pick up the custom polish option and get your own. You can also follow Carpe Noctem Cosmetics on Facebook and their fan group for sneak peeks of upcoming releases.  And just in case you wanted to pick up the plate or the polish to create your own awesome Mercury Transformation Mani I used the Bundle Monster plate BM 14 and the white stamping polish from the Born Pretty Store (use code KLH10 for 10% off your total order). So I hope that you enjoyed this portion of Mani Monday and until next time lovelies!
