Dreadfully Divine's 14 Best Beauty Favorites for 2014 Tag!

*Press* *Purchased*

Hello Lovelies!

Happy New Year! It is finally 2015 and with the end of 2014 I came up with a list of my best beauty favorites for the year. While some of these are not exactly new products they are the products that I find myself using on a regular basis even if you don't see the photos of them. I originally had planned on taking photos of all the products but since I am currently laid up with the plague sadly you will have to settle for links. There were a lot of limited edition colors that were my favorites but nothing honestly sucks more than to have a list of really amazing products and over half of them you can't get any more. So I limited myself to products that are currently available or that are available when the stores reopen. I am also making this a tag for other bloggers to see what their favorite beauty products are for this past year.  So be sure to comment below and leave your blog listing when I can see your favorite beauty products of 2014!

So without further ado, here are my 14 Best Beauty Favorites for 2014

-I literally used this EVERY time I do an eye look. Every single time. It is like NYX Jumbo Pencil and Too Faced Shadow Insurance had a love child. This is the result. Not only is this a combination of base and a primer it is also Vegan and Cruelty Free.  Such an epic find and one jar lasts forever. I am still on my first jar and I use it daily. I love this so much if you can't tell.-

-Okay while technically this could be considered two products I am counting them as one since I always use the two together so they are like one entity in my cold medicated mind. I used both of these products weekly.  Cream & Sugar is my go to highlight/brow bone color since it is a lovely matte and blends fantastically. Black Velvet is used not only for smokey or dramatic looks I also use it to set my eyeliner in my waterline by dabbing it on top of my liner. Just like with the primer, a little goes a long way and I am still on my first jar.-

 - Not only does this blush have an amazing name it is kick ass for contouring. This is my go to contouring powder. It gives you the shadowy look without any orange or bronze tint which makes me look horrible with my fair complexion. I used this all the time when I contour and I won't be without it. The container is HUGE and a little goes a long way (be sure to blend blend blend) and I am still on the first container but I will be getting a second way before I run out since it is a beauty staple in my full face makeup routine.-

-I discovered Darling Girl this year and I am super impressed with not only the quality but also the colors that are offered. I had several shades from DG that were runners up however a lot of them were Limited Edition colors are I limited myself to colors that were currently available. This is simply amazing shade. It is a brilliant teal with a green flash and subtle shift that ranges between gold and periwinkle. It looks amazing as a lid color as well as for the pop of color on the waterline. DG is currently closed until sometime this month but be sure to pick up this color. You won't be disappointed. -

  - I also discovered Glamour Doll Eyes this year. Vee, the owner, not only has amazing products but she has one of the fastest turn around times in the indie circles. Like with Darling Girl, there were so many limited edition colors from Glamour Doll Eyes that I wanted to put on my list however they are not available any more so they didn't make this list because of it.  Celestial Crow is one of my favorites (not only for the sheer fact that it reminds me of Game of Thrones which has nothing to do with the creation of the color, it is just how my mind works) because it is extremely versatile. It is a gorgeous bluish black with an intense green shimmer and sparkles. It works well as a shadow by itself or foiled as a striking liner. -

-Not only does Lunatick make my go to primer, she also makes some seriously kick ass palettes. They have amazing themes and colors as well as the most unique packaging around. Seriously I haven't seen anyone else with a Ouija board palette! Her colors are rich and super pigmented and you have the option of creating your own palette if you want a specific shade of colors. They are all really amazing and I have a couple but this one is my current favorite and like their primer it is vegan and cruelty free.-

-As with the DG and GDE, Notoriously Morbid had some AMAZING limited edition shade this year. However Black Cat Crossing is one of my favorites this year from their regular line up.  It is described as a darker take of the cat eye green with cool purple and warm amber sparkles on the site. It is a gorgeous almost blackened emerald with flashes of purple and gold which is really amplified by a sticky base (such as their new Shadow Bind which should be releasing this month). It is gorgeous on its' own or foiled as a liner.

-I love SugarPill, there is no denying it. Their bright and bold colors, super cute packaging and kick ass pigmentation. I just adore their products. While I have had this palette for awhile, I kept finding myself reaching for it more and more throughout the year. All the colors are so pigmented I just couldn't get enough.-

-BeautyBarBaby came out with some AMAZING opaque lipsticks this year and I constantly get compliments any time I am wearing them. It was so hard to narrow it down just to one shade so I chose the color that I wore most. Haunted Palace is a lovely medium toned mauve that would look great on any skin tone. It is perfect enough for wearing to the office without being too dramatic and great for a night out as well.-

-I love My Beauty Addiction whipped lipsticks. They are rich, opaque and wonderful to put on . I have several of her whipped lipsticks however this is the one that I reach for the most. Burlesque is a deep magenta pink with purple undertones. While it can be on the brighter side for some people, I constantly get compliments when I am out wearing it. The jars are jam packed full and I still have a ton left even though I wear it often.-

-While this is not an indie brand, this is the MAIN lip liner that I find myself reaching for constantly. I want to line everything with it. It is a gorgeous blackened plum which is pretty enough on its' own it looks amazing as an ombre lip or even under other lipsticks such as my next favorite, Kat Von D's Vampira.

12. Vampira from Kat Von D
  - I love liquid lipsticks while I discovered them last year. I really didn't play around with them until this one. Vampi As some of you may know Mr Dreadful and I finally made it official this year and got married after being together for 11+ years. I wore this color (plus Nightmoth) for my wedding and it lasted FOREVER. My lipstick never smudged and didn't fade throughout the ceremony.

13. Lip Balms from both BeautyBarBaby and Notoriously Morbid
-I have become a lip balm addict this year. Partially because I find that liquid lipstick are really dry on my lips so I am constantly applying lip balm both in the morning before my makeup and in the evening after my makeup is off. And on days that I don't wear make up and I apply it constantly like a junkie. I can never have enough. So due to this new found lip habit I have acquired a ton of various lip balms to try I couldn't narrow it down to just on brand. So I picked my favorite two. Currently BeautyBarBaby has two types of balms- the tinted which are slightly firmer and the non tinted balms which are slightly softer but both glide over the lips and hydrate like a dream. Notoriously Morbid also has tinted and non tinted balms (or should I say Coffin Kissers) but both seem to be of the same formula and are simply wonderful. BeautyBarBaby has unique packaging for each flavor while Notoriously Morbid's is sleek and black.-

Finally, last but not least...

14. Holographic Glitter from BeautyBarBaby and Lit Cosmetics
-For those of you who don't follow me on my various social media pages, I will admit that I am a glitter junkie. In all blunt honesty, I am a glitter whore. I love it. I love wearing it. I just can't get enough of it. And this year both Lit and BeautyBarBaby came out with holographic glitters which are super duper sparkly. Like Drag Queen performing on my eyeballs to fabulous music sparkly. I squealed like a fan girl over these. So while I can't pick just one glitter color, I pick both Lit Cosmetics and BeautyBarBaby's holographic lines of glitter. You can't go wrong with them cause they are simply FABULOUS.

Well I hope that you enjoyed my Best Beauty Favorites 2014 Edition. What were some of your favorites for 2014? If you are reading this and you have a blog considered yourself tagged and be sure to comment with your blog below so I can check our favorites out.

They All Float while Black Cats Cross Stripper Zombies on the Ladder to Hell with the Book of Honorious and The Necronomicon...

*Purchased*

Hello Lovelies!

I am back again with another EOTD look! For this look I am using some Notoriously Morbid goodies. Notoriously Morbid had a really amazing Halloween Limited Edition (as well as an resurrection sale for old shadows on Halloween) that came out which I managed to get my hands on. But I wasn't able to able to really play with the gorgeous colors today.

I know Ash, can you believe that it took me this long to do a look with them?
I know that is almost sacrilegious especially when they had a shadow called Necronomicon. Which being a massive Lovecraft and EvilDead/Army of Darkness Fan I knew I had to have the collection.
The shadow is just as awesome as this movie....and of course seriously LOVECRAFT!
I also got a sample of the new product, Shadow Bind, that is releasing in January in my order as well.
Damn straight Ash, it is FUCKING Groovy!
The Shadow Bind literally transformed these shadows from beautiful to FUCKING gorgeous. Don't worry there will be a review about this product later. But enough chattering, on to the look!

I used the following products for this look:
Notoriously Morbid (NM) Shadow Bind * (releases in January)
NM They All Float
NM Black Cat Crossing
NM Ladder to Hell
NM Stripper Zombie
NM Book of Honorius ** (Halloween Limited Edition)
NM Necronomicon ** ( Halloween Limited Edition )

Normally these shadows have a nice and pretty sparkle, but combined the with Shadow Bind it kicked it up 10 notches.

That was my face right there staring at my eye with the Shadow Bind..
So seriously lovelies, even IF you missed the Halloween Limited Edition Set you still can get the other shadows and put them over Shadow Bind. If you want to pick up anything from Notoriously Morbid you can do so here. You can also follow then on Facebook, the Facebook Fanbook Page, and of course Instagram. And if you don't mind please head up to the top and rate this post! ^_~  So until next time lovelies, stay groovy and watch the original Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 cause Bruce Campbell is the man.

MOAR Spots but this time they are Morbid...

*Purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I am feeling horribly run down with the recent influx of the plague in the Dreadful household. All I really want to do right now is sleep and avoid the holiday season all together since it caught me COMPLETELY off guard. Originally I thought that I was going to be done by October for all the holiday shopping however I was derailed due to wedding planning. Then I figured I could go ahead and start now and head out and shop for presents instead of doing a mad dash.

Yeah, that was a BIG mistake

Then I remembered why I hate the holiday season with the crowds and all of the people.

I worked retail for years so it turned me into this...

It makes me want to run back to the house and hide away and do makeup with minimal human interaction

Let me hide away in my cave with my makeup.

Which resulted in this spotted look...

I used the following products for this look
Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Primer
Notoriously Morbid's (NM) Nudist
NM Sheanimonkey
NM Mint to Die For
NM Jupiter Rain
NM Seek Not Revenge
NM Book of Shadows
NM Bad Trinity
NM Belle's Bounty
Jo Jo Lashes from Oh My Lash
Wolfe FX Essential Palette for the spots

However I will admit that I do like the holidays just not so much the hustle of the season. I do have some feelings. ^_~

If you are interested in purchasing any of the colors used for this look you can do so here. You can also follow Notoriously Morbid on Facebook, their Facebook Fan Page and on Instagram. So until next time lovelies, stay warm and avoid the holiday crowds!

The Gambler and the Wayward Son had Moments that Illuminate while Walking on Sunshine and having Sympathy for the Devil.

*Purchased*

Hello Lovelies,
I am back again with another EOTD this time it is from Notoriously Morbid. Just  recently, Notoriously Morbid released a collection based off of Supernatural.  While they did have a collection of Coffin Kissers that were Supernatural this is an actual shadow collection that was based off of this series and to top is all off it is an entire DUO CHROME Collection.
OMG A SUPERNATURAL COLLECTION??!?!
Now while I still feel like I have been beat up against a wall health wise, I just couldn't resist the putting this collection on my eyes.

That's right, I still feel like crap.
Why did I crawl out of the crypt and shamble over to the makeup counter. It is just simply because these colors are that gorgeous and because Dean is super hot. Wait, did I say that out loud?

Why yes, yes you are!
Now, after realizing that I have a true duo chrome addiction I knew that I instantly had to have this collection and the face that I am a Supernatural (Dean, so much Dean) fan. But I recently have been having the makeup blahs where I can't decide on a color combination and I really hate every look that I do.
Yes, the makeup blahs are real and it has nothing to do with makeup.

It could be from the plague or the fact that I am currently doped up on cold medicine.

So many colors and so many choices!! MUST WEAR THEM ALL!
But I finally decided on this look with this gorgeous set of colors.

Behold an eye full of Winchester Duochromy goodness!
I used the following products for this look
Notoriously Morbid (NM) So Goes My Nation
Wayward Son (NM)
The Gambler (NM)
Moments That Illuminate (NM)
Walking On Sunshine (NM)
Sympathy for the Devil (NM)
The 15 piece Pink Brush set from Born Pretty Store (Use code KLH10 for 10% off your order)

Jump for joy lovelies! The Winchester Collection is permanent and you can pick it up any time from Notoriously Morbid's site. Now if there are some colors that I used from a Vanishing Cabinet that you want to get your hands on or beg for the ladies at Notoriously Morbid to make permanent now is the time to join the Fangroup on Facebook and vote/request for what colors you would like to see back. You can also follow them on Instagram and Facebook. Do you have a favorite Supernatural character? If so which one and why?

Until next time lovelies!

What?!?! Two posts in ONE DAY?!? What is this insanity? It is only Officer Friendly and the Silent Samurai Praying that I am Dead.

*Purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I know this is pure insanity that I have not one but two posts today. But this EOTD is just too lovely not to blog about. Notoriously Morbid has recently started up a monthly subscription and it is continuously impresses me each month. Due to the wedding chaos, which is thankfully over, I haven't been able to blog about the Vanishing Cabinet. However I finally get some time to open up this collection and take a look at it.

My poor makeup was locked up like zombies in a hospital until recently
To my glee and surprise this collection was based off the Walking Dead...
Yup, you know that show that EVERYONE is talking about...

However, I was wondering how Carrie and Laura were going to portray this collection since it is a zombie based series. Where they going to go with the traditional zombie gore colors or were they going to do something different? And to my very pleasant surprise, this collection is mainly neutrals. I chatted with Laura about this for a bit and they wanted to do colors based off the characters. Which I really liked. While I love zombies and gore colors, and truth be told I am not much of a neutral girl, it can be a bit overwhelming this time of year.

So many zombies... all over the place! What about zombie love in July?!?!

So, I dove head first into this collection and this is the look that I came up with. While everyday is Halloween for me, most people not so much..

Daryl is totally with me that everyday should be Halloween..cause Al Jourgensen says so
I created this neutral eye that you can wear to work and secretly support your love for zombies and shout that EVERYDAY IS HALLOWEEN without worrying that your boss will give you the bung eye.
That blue liner there.. is Silent Samurai foiled.. Yup beautiful isn't it? <3

I used the following products on this look
Notoriously Morbid's Cherokee Rose, Officer Friendly , Pray I'm Dead and Silent Samurai (foiled as a liner and on the lower lash line as well) from the October Vanishing Cabinet
Notoriously Morbid'sSo Goes My Nation (highlight) from the Slayer Collection

But I know that you are going, Dreadful, this is a Limited Edition and I NEED IT.
Seriously look at that liner! No really you can have it too ....
Well lovelies Notoriously Morbid is going to be listing the overstock of the colors soon so be sure to check out the Facebook pageand the Facebook Fan Page to see when. You can pick up these colors and more on the website and be sure to follow them on Instagram.

So, until next time lovelies!

A Swatch Here and a Swatch There: Notoriously Morbid's Blood Countess Collection

*purchased*
 Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with some swatches from the new Blood Countess Collection , based off the Hungarian Countess Elizabeth Bathory, from Notoriously Morbid today. She was the most prolific female serial killer in history believing that bathing in the blood of young female virgins to retain her youth. While that is excessively extreme to try to obtain beauty, you don't have to go to such lengths to get this collection. While there were no animated gifs dealing with The Countess, I figured that Sweeney Todd was the next best thing.

Oh how I loved this movie!
**Please note that I am not glorifying the death's of the Countess' victims nor am I making light of the horror that she inflicted. She was and is a human monster and by studying her crimes and behavior we can capture other monsters that are out today. Now let's get back to happier subjects like makeup!**

Enough negativity, let's get back to makeup!
The Blood Countess is what I would consider a mini collection consisting of 3 shadows, a blush and a polish and is part of their permanent line so there is no need to get upset and bake someone into a pie in order to get this collection in your hot little hands.
Relax Sweeney and Mrs Lovett there is not need for violence in order to get this collection.
The three shadows are a gorgous combination of  purples and reds as well! I adore purple shadows and these are no exception. So, prepare yourself and your beauty budget and check out these swatches.. All swatches were done over Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Primer and taken in natural light.

Welcome to your grave beauty budget cause this is a gorgeous collection..
Gilded Mirror is described as a plum/mauve base with an airy gold overlay. It is the lightest of the three and the hint of gold gives it a nice sparkle in the sun.

Next we have Goblet of Red which is described as a rich merlot red with a  powerful blue green shift. It is very similar to the Autumn Flower shadow from the Out in the Black VC but darker and richer. So if you were sad about missing Autumn Flower definitely pick up this shadow.

Finally, last but not least is Nobel Rage which is describe on the site as a midnight black base layered with metallic amethyst and rose and gold sparkles. This is a gorgeous black packed full of sparkles the purple and the rose really shine in the sun as seen in this swatch.

Next we have a NEW Lipcraft color gloss in this collection.. I really love their glosses so I did a little dance when I opened my order.
Dance for the new lip pretty!!

Cachtice is described as a vermilion shimmer with medium to opaque coverage.  On me it is a hybrid color of salmon and and rose. I like how they stayed away from the blood red lip and stuck with something lighter and softer which can be worn everyday. The coverage is medium and can easily be built to a nice opacity.

I don't know about you I have always had a fondness for red polishes and Dungeon is just that...

Dungeon is described as a deep claret red with a subtle red shimmer. Dungeon reminds me of a deep dark brick red or even dried blood which is something that I can definitely see in a dungeon. It dries matte but looks just as amazing when a shiny top coat is placed on top of it. Just take a look...

You can see the hint of red sparkles in this photo

Finally we come to the blush in this collection, Sadist. Sadist is described as a soft rosy mauve with illusive gold shimmer. It can be built up for intense color or blended out for a softer delicate look.

Blushes always make me think of brides for some reason..
Personally, I always blend out my blushes since I am not a fan of intense color on the cheeks. I swatched  Sadist over a bare arm working from the lightest and blended out to the darkest.

Swatched going from light to dark and blended out..

It is hard to pick favorites out of this collection but if you want the whole collection it does come in the full size option for $30 and the mini for $17. Or you can pick up your favorites individually depending on your beauty budget.

Beauty Budgets, we all hate them.
Well, I hope that you enjoyed this swatch installment. You can pick up this collection  on Notoriously Morbid's site. You can also follow Notoriously Morbid on Facebook, Instagram and join their Facebook Fanpage for the latest news and sneak peeks on coming collections. Do you have any favorites out of this new collection? Until next time lovelies!
