What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Smart Weigh Bathroom Scale

**Press**

  Hello Lovelies,
I am back again and today I am doing a review of the Smart Weigh Bathroom Scale. I have been wanting a better way to keep track of my weight loss and I figured what better way than to get a new scale and see my results on the screen in front of me. The Smart Weigh Scale arrived quickly and was well packaged in its box. There wasn't an issue with having to try to set the scale up and there was no calibration needed. There are five people in my household and this scale remembers up to eight different people which is pretty impressive. The LED changes color for each person which makes it a nice touch and the scale can accommodate up to 400 pounds.  However the new user must double tap the scale in order to enter themselves manually. There are four large plates on the scale for the user to place his or her feet on it to weigh. This is a great improvement over my other scale which has four small bars on the sides which made it difficult to place my feet on it accurately. This is not true of the Smart Weigh Scale. The plates are large and there is no need to try to balance or having to place your foot just right in order to get a reading. The LED screen is what I would consider average size I didn't have an issue of needing to use my glasses to read it. It takes 4 AAA batteries which come with it. I will make a note that this scale does not work on carpet since it needs a firm surface similar to my other electronic scale. Overall I am super pleased with this scale with the larger foot plates and the ability to remember eight people.

If you would like to pick up your own Smart Weigh Bathroom Scale you can do so on Amazon. It is $59.99 however it is currently on sale for $39.99. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of What's the Deal Dreadful, until next time lovelies!

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Weight Gurus Digital Body Fat Scale

**Press**

    Hello Lovelies,
I am back with another healthy living review today. Today I am reviewing Weight Guru's Digital Body Fat Scale. Admittedly we haven't had a scale in the house for years, but since my husband and I were wanting to get in better shape it was time to get one to help monitor our progress.I originally ordered the scale and it arrived damage reading weights from one extreme to another for the same person so I contacted the company and they were an absolute joy to deal with. They quickly handled my problem and sent me out a replacement so they have excellent customer service. The scale arrived quickly was well packaged securely in the box. The scale itself is super sleek and thin. I was surprised at how thin it was. As in the product photo there are four metal plates, two on each side where you place you feet. If your foot isn't in contact with the plates it may throw off the scale from giving you a true reading of your weight. It weighs up 400 pounds and isn't a bulky or clunky as the older scales that used only to go up to 300 pounds. It has a nice extra large blue LCD screen which is easy to read however I will admit that my favorite features are the ability for the scale to remember who stepped on it when you set it up for more than one user. It automatically knows who is weighing themselves. I found that I got the best and most accurate results is to place the scale on a flat non carpeted surface. I am super pleased with the scale and how easy it is to use and set up.

If you would like to purchase your own Weight Gurus Body Fat Scale you can do so on Amazon. It is $79.99 however it is currently on sale for $39.99. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of What's the Deal Dreadful, until next time lovelies!

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Erin Buchanan's Air Bar Exercises DVD

**Press**

     Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with another healthy living review. Today I am reviewing Erin Buchanan's Air Bar Exercises DVD. As most of you know that follow my blog Mr Dreadful and I are focusing on being healthier this year and working out. I was interested in finding out what an Air Bar Exercise was. Now I did receive an "Air Bar" with my dvd for the review purpose which is a 40" dowel  that had ABX written in marker on the side. While I know that the DVD on Amazon doesn't include the air bar I was a little taken back when I opened the box and there was a dowel with marker writing on the side. While this isn't the official product release, I would suggest that if the company is going to send out the bars as part of the package to possibly burn the ends with then ABX logo to give it a more professional look. I did not include a photo of the bar since it isn't included in the package.

The DVD itself arrived quickly and was well packaged. I really enjoyed the DVD . I liked the fact that it was created for anyone of any fitness level and it is a LOW impact workout for those of us with bad knees that sound like crispy treats when we get out of bed in the morning.  The instructor was pleasant and likable (and not annoying) and the moves are not complicated. The key to making the most of this workout is keeping your muscles engaged. Which sounds super easy at first when you start however it will kick your butt . I am starting to notice small changes and I am looking more toned and feeling a lot better. I would recommend this DVD since it is doing a wonderful job.

If you would like to pick up your own copy of Erin Buchanan's Air Bar Exercise DVD you can do so on Amazon. It is $39.97 however it is currently on sale for $34.97. I hope that you have enjoyed this installment of What's the Deal Dreadful, until next time lovelies!

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Gurin GO- 410 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter

**Press**

    Hello Lovelies!
I am back with another healthy living review. Today I am reviewing Gurin's GO-410 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter. My husband and  I have recently started working out again in order to be healthier this year. In addition to eating cleaner, our new work out regiment requires us to check our heart rate at different time to make sure we are in a fat burning zone. So we wanted to get something that we could both use that would give us results quickly. The product arrived quickly and was extremely well packaged. It arrived in it's own little box, the pulse oximeter was inside it's own little travel pouch and came with two batteries and a lariat to attach to the pulse oximeter to make it easy to take with you while you are at the gym or working out since pockets aren't always a part of work out clothes. The pulse oximeter is extremely sturdy and comfortable. It clamps gently around your finger and has soft cushions on either side for a comfortable fit. The results are quickly generated on the LCD screen in front with clear numbers. I also like the aspect that it turns itself off after 15 seconds so you won't be running down the batteries if you take your pulse and then toss it in your gym bag. It is perfect for on the go!

If you would like to pick up your own Gurin GO-310 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter you can do so on Amazon. It is $299.95 however it is on sale for $38.95. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of What's the Deal Dreadful, until next time lovelies!

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Antares Press Fast and Easy Gluten Free (e)Cookbook

**Press**

   Hello Lovelies,
Happy Pi Day! Today I am doing another healthy living review since most of you know that the Dreadful family is trying to eat healthier and cleaner this year. So today I am reviewing Anteres Press' Fast and Easy Gluten Free (e) Cookbook. While no one in my family as a gluten allergy we are attempting to eat fresh and clean and wanting to cut down on gluten. When we decided to cut down on gluten we never realized how many products contained hidden gluten that we were all ready eating. This cookbook helped us navigate the often intimidating waters of gluten free cooking since we had never attempted it before. There were a large selection of recipes to pick from and we were REALLY impressed that there were vegetarian options since we are vegetarians and a lot of cookbooks fail to cater to that option. So that was a big plus for us. We also liked that each recipe has a break down of how many servings it makes and even breaks it down even further with how many calories, fat, carbs, protein and sodium is per serving which is nice. There were great suggestions for recipes that we were all ready doing such as some of their smoothie recipes incorporate spices which we hadn't even thought of doing before but they were incredible. The only draw back to this cookbook is the fact that there are no pictures of the dishes. I love seeing what my dishes are supposed to look like and if my creations match up to what was created. Overall this is an excellent cookbook for people who are going gluten free or are looking to try to do gluten free days during the week like us.

If you would like to purchase your own Antares Press' Fast and Easy Gluten Free (e)Cookbook you can do so on Amazon.  It is $7.99 however it is currently on sale for $2.99 which can be downloaded to your Kindle or even your phone that has a Kindle app. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of What's the Deal Dreadful, until next time lovelies!

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Dance Crazy Dance Starter Kit Dvd

**Press**

    Hello Lovelies,
I am back with another healthy living review. Mr Dreadful and I have been trying out various things in order to get healthier. We also wanted something to do together so we can help keep each other motivated. So when we had the opportunity to review the Dance Crazy Dance Starter Kit DVD we were thrilled. Okay, well maybe I was excited and there was a raised eyebrow and possibly some questioning of my sanity from Mr Dreadful. But this was something we could do together. Both my husband and I have two left feet and dancing has never really been something that we did. However, my husband mentioned how much he liked swing so we decided to try this dvd collection out. We are working on a healthier and active lifestyle and so we figured that attempting dance lessons with this dvd would also count as a cardio workout. The dvd arrived quickly and was well packaged. Inside there wasn't one dvd like I was expecting for 4 DVDs that each focused on an individual style of dance. We loved the fact that the DVDs started out with the basics for people like us who don't know how to dance. We loved it that it taught us the basics at our own speed and from multiple angles so we could see exactly what was going on. Not to mention we could always pause and rewinds as many times as we wanted to in order to get the step just right. While we have a long way to go before we are even close to not stepping on each other's feet, we love it and are continuing with this until we get it right.

If you would like to pick up your own copy of Dance Crazy's Dance Starter Kit Dvd you can do so on Amazon. It is $69.95 and it is currently on sale for $24.95. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of What's the Deal Dreadful, until next time lovelies!

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Naturalico's Jump Rope

**Press**

     Hello Lovelies!

I am back again with another review and as most of you know that I am trying to have a healthier lifestyle so I am making some changes with my eating and exercise habits. So I am trying new things and exercises to find the best fit for me. Today I am reviewing Naturalico's Jump RopeI am trying to be healthier and exercise more this year and I wanted something for cardio that was quick and easy and portable. I loved jumping rope as a kid however I haven't done it in years. The jump rope arrived quickly with it's own black bag for storage. The jump rope itself is extremely lightweight and the handles are comfortable. The jump rope is a thin and flexible wire covered in what I can only guess it a thick plastic sheath. It can be used both indoors and out which gives you a lot of flexibility with your workout which is great since I can't always be outside jumping rope because of the weather. I love the fact that it is adjustable for people of all heights considering that my husband is much taller than me he can easily adjust it for his height after I am done using it. When I am finished I can place it is it's storage bag until I am ready to use it next time. I didn't think that it was going to be that much of a cardio work out however I soon learned that after about 30 jumps my heart was pounding so if you are looking for a portable cardio workout that you can do no matter what the weather this is an excellent choice.

If you would like to pick up your own Naturalico Jump Rope you can do so on Amazon. It is $29.99 however it is currently on sale for $15.99.  I hope that you enjoyed this installment of What's the Deal Dreadful, until next time lovelies!

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Sprout Voice and Cold Remedy

**Press**

     Hello Lovelies,
I am back again with another review Sprouts Voice Formula and Cold Remedy. Since I have had the plague not once but twice this year. I put both of these products to work. First let's start with Sprout's Cold Remedy. Since I have three kids I really don't have time nor can I afford to be sick. However it is inevitable that I get sick with three little ones in school. I am really impressed with this product. It arrived quickly and was well packaged in an amber glass bottle with a glass eye dropper to help distribute the remedy inside. The remedy is dark reddish brown liquid that has a unique taste. I can't quite put my finger on what the taste is, however it doesn't taste any worse than any liquid medication that I have taken before. I just tilt my head back and swallow the remedy and follow up with a glass of water. While it doesn't "cure the cold" it did cut the time of my misery from being sick in half. My husband who hates medicine was sick took this as well and it cut his recovery time in half.

Next up is Sprout's Voice Remedy.I am not a professional singer or speaker, however I always without fail loose my voice whenever I get sick. I have three kids and not having a voice is miserable especially when trying to talk and give directions in an often loud house. The product arrived quickly when I ordered it and came well packaged. It remedy arrived in an amber glass bottle with a glass eye dropper so I could distribute it. The remedy has a very unique taste, with a hint of spicy but nothing too overpowering. It doesn't taste any worse than the cough drops or cold medicine I take when I am sick. The remedy is has a slight yellowish hue and has a watery syrup like consistency. When I lost my voice I immediately took it first thing and then followed up with taking it in the evening right before I went to bed. The next morning I was able to talk above a whisper. I took it for the next day and my voice was back! I normally have to whisper for a week when I loose my voice and to have it come back in two days was simply incredible!

If you would to pick up your own Sprout's Cold Remedy or Voice Remedy you can do so on Amazon. Sprout's Cold Remedy is  $28.50 and Sprout's Voice Remedy is $59.99 however it is currently on sale for $27.49. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of What's the Deal Dreadful, until next time lovelies!
