What's the Deal Dreadful? Review and Giveaway of VV Inn Book 1: Vampire Vacation

*Press*

   Hello Lovelies,
I am back with a review of  Vampire Vacation: VV Inn Book 1 by CJ Ellison. I am an avid reader and usually a traditionalist when it comes to books so I was a little hesitant when I was approached to do a review of another ebook. However, since I usually read Urban Fantasy I figured that I would give it a go. Now, I will state that this is an ADULT Urban Fantasy so you probably don't want your 13 year old reading this book since there are a number of erotic sex scenes which are well written however not for the young or those who don't like detailed scenes. The story is set in an inn north of the Arctic Circle which is both remote and an ideal getaway for the vampire guests that stay there. The main character, Vivian is a sensuous vampire who is much older than she lets on, stumbles upon a dead body while making the last minute rounds of the inn before a new batch of guests arrive. She and her bonded mate, a human named Rafe, have to deal with not only trying to figure out who the murderer is but also how to deal with new guest that are arriving at any minute.
The relationship between both Vivian and Rafe is nice combination of  bold and sexy as well as playful and sweet. Vivian is dipping with sensuality and received a great number of advances she always reminds those that she is happily married. The mystery only gets deeper when one of the guest wishes to join Vivian's family in more permanent fashion and Vivian must also use her gift of thought projection and reading the thoughts of others to figure out not only who murderer is but as well as facing a portion of her past.
The mystery had several twists and turns through out and didn't disappoint me. I enjoyed the read as well as I really liked the character development and the relationships between the characters had with one another. However, I did find that there was portions of the story which lacked some detail and others that had too much. It is a hard things to balance between the two especially with a this being the writer's first novel. I am looking forward to what CJ Ellison has in store for both Rafe and Vivian in the next book!

This cover is taken from Amazon since this is an Ebook and I can't take a photo of the cover with my phone.
You can pick up Vampire Vacation by CJ Ellisson on Amazon for $11.99 however it is currently on sale for .99 cents! Guess what lovelies? Are you interested in reading this as well? Well I am giving away a copy of this so just follow the directions on the Rafflecopter widget below!

EOTD/ FOTD Series: A Drunk Unicorn going through a Blue Period looking for a Water Dragon and a Mermaid

*Purchased*
Hello again lovelies!
I am back again in the SAME day. I know two EOTD posts in the same day? Does this woman walk around the house with two different eyes ? Yes, I do all the time. So much in fact that my kids and Mr Dreadful don't bat an eye anymore.  This time with another EOTD/ FOTD look this time featuring My Pretty Zombie. I had heard about MPZ in the indie group that I frequent. So I decided to take the plunge and order and needless to say I am in love cause they are simply fantastic. I ohhhed and ahhhed over the pretties I got however due to the chaos of summer and three kids I haven't had the time to play or do makeup. Since I am always at swimming lessons it seems I wanted to do more of an aquatic look so this is what I came up with. I am not sure if it is more of  a water dragon inspired look or a mermaid inspired look. So you decide and let me know!

I wanted to do a collage since I managed to capture the shift when my eye was semi closed.

This was done with My Pretty Zombie's
Unicorn Pee
Grimdeva
Dissolution
TaraYvonne
Static
Infirmity
Forsaken

You can purchase them here and you can also follow her on Facebook as well.
I hope that you enjoyed this look! Until next time lovelies!

EOTD/FOTD Series: Death of a Dictateur by the National Razor in Versailles.

*Press*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with another EOTD/LOTD and this time it is from a new company called Baroque Cosmetics. I was contacted by the owner to see if I would be interested in doing a review of her new line and I was more than happy to oblige. She sent me samples of her French Revolution collection  and I was super pleased with not only the colors but the historical references. I am a big history nerd so I was super excited about the collection. Here is one of the test looks I did with her line, the review of the entire collection is forth coming but I wanted to share this look with you before the review.

I used the following colors from Baroque Cosmetics
Versailles -middle of the lid and the middle portion of the lower lash line
Dictateur Sanguinaire- outer and inner lid and lower lash line
Death of Marat- Highlight
National Razor-Crease

I am also wearing Jo Jo lashes from Oh My Lash.

Out of all the colors in this look both Versailles and Dictateur Sanguinaire were my favorites. But all of the colors were simply gorgeous. If you would like to purchase the collection (or individuals shadows) you can do so here and you can also follow her on Facebook. I hope that you enjoyed this look and stay tuned for the upcoming review on the new collection.

Until Next Time Lovelies!

EOTD/ FOTD Series : Angel Eyed Mermaids In Atlantis Dreaming of Gypsies and Tangerines Lotuses featuring Candii Blossom Cosmetics

*I bought this*

Hello Lovelies!
I am back again after a week of no makeup with a  EOTD! With everything that happened last week the last thing I wanted to think about was makeup but this week I wanted to get back into the swing of things with a new look and of course I was naturally drawn to blues. So I grabbed my favorite blues from Candii Blossom Cosmetics and decided to do a look today. This is what I came up with.
I just can't get enough of these gorgeous blues from Candii Blossom !

I wanted to add a bit of pop to the look so instead of a white or silver color I used tangerine.
I really liked how the tangerine pops against the blue and gives it a different look to this look. I used the following products on this look.

I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk (blended out)
Tangerine Dream (inner corner)
Atlantis (middle lid)
Angel Eyes (outer lid)
Gypsy Smoke (crease and outer most portion lid)
Lotus (highlight)
Mermaid's Kiss (lower lash line)

You can purchase these lovely color from Candii Blossom here and you can also find them on Facebook here.

I hope that you enjoyed this EOTD and until next time lovelies!

EOTD/FOTD Series: May the FOURTH be with you featuring BeautyBarBaby!

Hello Lovelies!
I rarely post on the weekends since it is strictly reserved for family time but since today is a special day I wanted to share my EOTD look with you. In honor of May the Fourth Be With You I decided to do a Star Wars themed look and what better way than to do a look inspired on my favorite villains, Boba Fett. Why Boba Fett you ask? Well simply because he is just a total bad ass. He doesn't whine or mope about how hard things are and poor him with his villainy, Boba Fett just owns it and revels in his awesome bounty hunter status. So that is why I am doing my first Star Wars themed looks dedicated to him. Cause I wanted to be awesome like Boba Fett when I was little.

Seriously look at this armor, total bad ass.

For this look I used the following products:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX  Jumbo pencil in Milk
That's Really Bananas - inner corner (BeautyBarBaby)
Omen - all over lid (BBB)
Meteor-outer v and in crease (BBB)
Blackened Ruby- above Meteor in the crease and the outer portion of the lower lash line (BBB)
Poisoned Apple -above Blackened Ruby and front portion of the lower lash line (BBB)
Miss Daisy- highlight/ brow bone (BBB)
Black gel Liner (BBB)
Barbara lashes from Oh My Lash

Do you have a favorite Star War Character? Who is it?

I am off to watch the original trilogy so until next time lovelies!

Today is a redo of a look that I wore to a family outing this weekend and I forgot to take a picture of it. =(  ( #makeupartistproblems ) I hate it when I do that!    I know that a lot of you are wondering what is with the name of this look. So here is the madness behind it, it is all based off the various colors and collections from Notoriously Morbid. Mani Monday: Featuring Ashley Rose from Ruby White Tips

Hello Lovelies!
I am back again this Monday with another addition of Mani Monday and this time I am presenting Ashley Rose from Ruby White Tips. This was my first purchase from RWT and my first time purchasing a thermal (color changing ) polish. It applies as a light purple but when it gets cold it turns a darker purple!  So with one mani you have endless polish possibilities throughout the day! Especially if you are easily amused as I was when I first applied it I was constantly sticking my hands in Mr Dreadful's face after subjecting my nails to various water temps. So needless to say, I am now officially hooked on both thermals and polishes from RWT. This polish is currently still available on Ruby White Tips Etsy however it is a limited edition color so go grab a bottle while you still can. She also points out that thermals only have a limited color changing lifetime of a year and while still will be a gorgeous color it might not change color after the year is up.  But enough of my yapping and on with the photos.
Just check out how cute the bottle is! Taken in natural light

Ashley Rose (with my new adventures in nail stamping) applied with 3 coats in natural light

Ashley Rose after I dunked my fingers in ice water for a couple of seconds. Check out that color change!
So if you are wanting multiple manis in one bottle, thermal polishes are the way to go! If you just want an amazing polish, head over to Ruby White Tips on Etsy and order yourself a bottle of Ashley Rose and you won't be disappointed!

**The lovely owner, Laura contacted me and now is offering a special discount code to all of you! Use code DIVINE15 to get 15% off your purchases from RWT! Thank you so much Laura! <3 **

Until Next Time Lovelies!

Mani Monday with Carpe Noctem Cosmetics!

Hello lovelies!
Welcome to the first installment of a new series called Mani Monday! I have recently developed a polish addiction and I wanted to share my looks with you. I may even share my learning attempts with stamping as well. For my first Mani Monday I started with another indie polish company Carpe Noctem Cosmetics. Today, I am wearing Diva D in Diamonds inspired by the amazing Diva in The Fifth Element, which is one of my favorite movies, and Gifford Gorgeous on my accent nails.

Diva D and Gifford  Gorgeous from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics.

Both of these colors are on the lighter side of blue and purple which I am trying out since I am such a bold and bright or dark and vampy girl. Both took three coats in order to the opacity that I wanted and top off with Seche Vite's fast drying top coat cause I hate waiting for polish to dry. I always manage to smear it or dent it.  Diva D in Diamonds is part of her regular stock while Glifford would be considered a special order so you would have to order a custom polish.  I really wish that I was able to get a nice sunny picture of this mani but it looks like it is finally going to rain since it has been grey and overcast all day. Here is a nice sunny image of Diva for those of you curious to see what it looks like out in the sun (rather than indoors) back when my nails were longer.

A lovely sunny pic of Diva D in Diamonds

The two rings are from the Born Pretty Store (use code KLH10 for a discount off your purchase). While they are not listed as knuckle rings, they are for me since apparently I have "larger fingers" (I wear an 8-9 ring size) so they became kick ass knuckle rings.  I hope that you enjoyed the first Mani Monday and stay tuned for more polish looks and reviews!

Until next time lovelies!

EOTD/FOTD Series: My Little Pony Apple Jack inspired look done with BeautyBarBaby and Lit Cosmetics

Hello lovelies!
I am back again with another installment of the EOTD/FOTD series with another My Little Pony inspired look. For the next pony I decided on Apple Jack, not only is she sassy and full of spunk, but she is also all of the colors that I usually don't create a look with together. Honestly, I never think of putting yellow, orange brown, red and green together in a look. But I do think that it came together really well. Take a peek and tell me what you think....
My Little Pony Apply Jack inspired look

For this look I used Beauty Bar Baby's That's Really Bananas, Sweeten Up, Chaos, Brownie, Poisoned Apple, SnoBall, In Da Club and The Grinch. I also used Devil's Breath foiled as a liner for my eyes. I used Carrot Top glitter from Lit Cosmetics. I am wearing the Vassen Lollipop Lenses in green from CandyLens and finally these lashes from the Born Pretty Store (Use discount code KLH10 for 10% off your order).  The dots were done with Wolfe Fx's Essential Palette. Overall I am really please with the look and I am all ready thinking of which pony to do next in the series. Do you have a suggestion? If you do drop me a line below and let me know! Until next time lovelies!

EOTD/FOTD Series: Korpse Kosmetics Part One

Hello again lovelies!
I am back again with another EOTD series this time from Korpse Kosmetics. As a lot of you may know Korpse is run by KimiToxxxic from YT . I recently ordered her Taste My Rainbow and Too Ghoul for School collections and I figured it was about time to bust into those colors. I also picked up Visual Kei which is a nice matte black. Why would I pick up another black eyeshadow when I all ready have at least  15 other lack shadows? Because I am looking for the perfect black which resembles my little black goth heart.  No, in all honestly I can never have enough black since I love darker looks and I have various shades of black through out my collection so I will always usually pick up a red or a black or both from a collection. Just as sure as my dog will give me the sad puppy dog eyes when I am cooking in the kitchen for me to hook him up with something special, I will usually pick up on or both of those shades. It is the goth in me I guess. But anyways...I did this look the same day as the Rainbow Dash inspired look (Yes, I often do two different eye looks and yes I do go out to pick my children up like that. I am THAT mom in the car line.) and instead of posting two EOTD looks in the same day I decided to share it today.
As you can tell I am really into dots lately...
I used LOL, Abby, Lagoona, Spectra, ROFL and Visual Kei. The dots are done with Wolfe Fx's Essential Palette (how in the world I survived without this awesome face paint palette I will never know. I want to use it all the time now!) I hope that you enjoyed this look and that you are enjoying the series!
So until next time lovelies....

EOTD/ FOTD Series featuring Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Part One

Hello lovelies!
I am back again today with another EOTD/ FOTD series this time featuring another one of my favorite indie companies Lunatick Cosmetic Labs. I was feeling especially bright today since it is "supposedly" the first day of Spring. But in all honestly, Mother Nature has been on a drinking bender this winter with the strange erratic weather we have been having. We had an "ice storm" in Florida. Seriously, what the hell? Mother Nature I dunno if you were trying to regain your youth with a drinking spree but we all felt it and hope that you are back on the wagon. But I digress, here is my look of the day and I wanted something extra bright. So instantly my hands wandered to my AlieNEON glitter stacker. It is pure bright neony goodness in a glittery stacker. (** Yes it hasn't officially been approved in the US for our eyes however if it is good enough for international lovely eyes then it is good enough for me. Always test a product our on yourself first before slathering all over yourself. While I understand wanting to be fabulous, always be safe first..) So here is what I came up with a My Little Pony, Rainbow Dash, inspired look. Cause honestly who are we kidding? Neon rainbows and ponies are awesome.

Bright, glittery and NEON what more could you ask for?
For this look I used the AlieNEON stacker and Dracula's Dream from Lunatick Labs. I also used London Calling from Lit Cosmetics. For the assorted dots and the front portion of my brow I used the Essential Palette from Wolfe FX.  So there you have it . Bright, neon rainbows based of ponies if that doesn't scream spring I don't know what does.

Until next time lovelies...

EOTD/FOTD Series: Notoriously Morbid Part One

Hello lovelies!
I am back with another installment of the EOTD (eye of the day)/ FOTD (face of the day) Series. Today I am sharing my look done with Notoriously Morbid. I just recently finished up my review of Notoriously Morbid which can be found here. So needless to say they are one of my new favorite indie companies. Lately we have been the plague house with my three little Dreadfuls being sick and then they managed to share strep with me. So I have literally not put any makeup on my face for about a week. Hence I needed to do something bright and colors after resembling a shambling snot zombie from the Walking Dead. I know such an attractive mental picture. But in all honestly I did look like poop for seven days so I needed something blue and pretty to remind me of the nice warm water at the beach (where I slather SPF 50 on to prevent me resembling anything like a boiled lobster) and the result was this. I even managed to do a makeup tutorial for this look which I am in the process of editing however Mr Dreadful is sick and my three Dreadfuls are home for Spring Break so my quiet computer time is non existent. Once the editing is complete I will add the video link to this post. But enough blathering on to the actual collage..
Yup I was definitely in a blue mood...

For this look I used Snow Queen's Return, Jupiter Rain, Douglas Firs , Snow's Fury, Morgana (under the lower lashline and foiled to make this KICK ASS electric blue eyeliner!!) and Goodbye Sweetie. I am so in love with Morgana foiled! It is gorgeous dry but foiled really makes it pop! I now have an obsession to foil all of my Notoriously Morbid shadows. Well it is a bit to quiet and I need to check on my patient (Mr Dreadful) so until next time lovelies...

**Update! Here is the link to the video tutorial for this look. I swear that when I am doing my makeup for videos it looks like a hot mess during the process but in the end it comes together nicely.. Thanks to Alisa for giving me a name for this look.**

Until Next time lovelies...
