Two looks for two awesome causes...

*Press*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back today with not one but TWO looks done for two separate causes that often are overlooked in the hype of this really awesome Halloween Holiday season. I was asked by two fellow BeautyBarBaby promoters to participate in collaborations these two causes and both causes are really amazing so I immediately agreed.

The first look is for Domestic Violence. I will sadly admit that I didn't know that this month was also Domestic Violence Awareness since it is often overlooked due to October also being Breast Cancer awareness Month as well. But both are equally important.
Did you know these Domestic Violence Facts?

I used the following colors from Beauty Bar Baby: Miss Daisy, Awesomeness, Ritual, Purplicious, and Ritual

Love should never hurt..

If you are a victim of domestic violence please speak up and if you are located in the United States you can call the National Domestic Hotline  1-800-799-7233

Next is the Breast Cancer Awareness look. This campaign is very dear to my heart since both my aunt and grandmother suffered and beat this terrible disease.
Save the Women !

Please be sure to check yourself often!

I used the following colors from BeautyBarBaby Miss Daisy, Strawberry Wine, Moltov Cocktail, Intoxicating and Tantalizing

I hope that you enjoyed these looks they are both done for two very important causes.
 Until next time lovelies!

Mani Monday Featuring the Halloween Collection and the National Adoption Day Special Polish From Carpe Noctem Cosmetics

*Press*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with another Mani Monday Edition. Today I have some really special polishes from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics! Emily contacted me and asked if I would be interested in helping show off her new Halloween Releases and of course naturally I said YES!!!
Did someone say Halloween?

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I am so thrilled to get any collection that has to do with it.  I like how Carpe Noctem's newest releases aren't your traditional or non traditional Halloween colors it is a combination of both. Just take a look...
Gresskar
Gresskar is a combination of what I would call a traditional and non traditional Halloween colors. It is a pale golden orange color with a hint of holo. While orange is what I would consider a traditional Halloween color due to orange being associated with Jack-O-Lanterns it is soft and delicate enough to wear anytime and anywhere.

Midnight Madness
Midnight Madness is one of my favorites in this collection. It is what I would consider a traditional Halloween color due to the gorgeous deep bluish purple color with just the right dose of holo making it sparkly but nothing like a Twilight Vampire.

Raspberry Beret
Raspberry Beret is another one of the polishes that what I would consider a non Traditional Halloween Color. While it is a gorgeous combination of both a burgundy and raspberry jelly with holo scattered through out, it isn't blood red that are associated with Vampires and Zombies. But just the right hint of fall with a dash of pink.

Take a Drink Michael (reformulation)

Take a Drink Michel (Old Formula - Discontinued)
Next up is another favorite of mine, the reformulation of  Take A Drink Michael inspired by my favorite vampire movie The Lost Boys. I have included the swatch of the original for a reference between the two colors. The new version is much darker with the black base and filled with more holo. Both versions are simply gorgeous I can't I pick a favorite between the two.

Home, Forever
Finally last but not least, is a super special polish in honor of National Adoption Day called Home, Forever.  Emily mentioned that she wanted to do a special polish in honor of National Adoption Day that is close to her heart. I have two cousins who are adopted and our family wouldn't have been the same without the addition of those two beautiful ladies. So I was honored that Emily asked if I was interested in swatching this color for her. It is a beautiful coral shade with hints of holo in the sun. It isn't your bright orange coral or the shocking pink coral but a lovely hybrid of the two colors with lots of sparkle. It will be available soon before National Adoption Day (November 22nd) and as soon as it goes live in the store I will link it here.

Check out this gorgeous jelly!

We wanted our fingers and toes done..
Now here is a little something extra from my littlest Dreadful. She is loves having her nails painted and is like her mother and loves sparkles so she wanted to show her nails off to everyone as well. She picked out Carpe Noctem's discontinued polish The Blob from last years' Halloween Collection . I love the sparkles of this jelly and I am secretly hoping that this polish returns so I don't have to be a mad horder with my bottle. *hint hint Emily ^_~*

Well lovelies that is if for this installment. But I will be back possibly today or tomorrow with a special Halloween Mani so stay tuned for that. If you want to pick up any of these polishes you can pick them up here. You can also follow Carpe Noctem on Facebook, in her Facebook Fan Group , and on Instagram.

Until Next Time Lovelies!

A Swatch Here and A Swatch There: Limited Edition Halloween Collection from BeautyBarBaby

*purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back with another swatch post and today I am super excited to have the new limited edition Halloween Collection from BeautyBarBaby. While there really is no "fall" season here in Florida I am super excited about Halloween since it is my favorite holiday.I know that some people don't get excited about Halloween and when I hear that I look like this...

What do you mean you don't like Halloween?
Either way, if you do or you don't like it there are a lot of really awesome collections that are coming out and most of them are limited edition which means that I feel like this...

LIMITED EDITION + BEAUTY BUDGET= PISSED OFF DREADFUL
While I hate limited editions I am an obsessive hoarder about the collections and this one is no exception. I would be willing to do almost anything to get them.. Well almost anything..
Yup I really want that Halloween Collection.
But, enough about the strange lengths that I would go to get some awesome Halloween collections. I did manage to snag this beauty and you won't be disappointed. So who wants to see some swatches?
I do! I do! Show me some swatches!

First, let's take a look at the really neat presentation...
Three shadows and a limited edition lip balm are packed into a lovely little wooden coffin covered with cobwebs, filled with little spiders, skulls and bones..
Yup that is a spine, get your mind out of the gutter you perv! XD

The goodies without the coffin
Yup, you are reading that right. The lip balm is a Zombie Cure and VEGAN. So not only do you have soft lips but you won't turn into a zombie while wearing this and smells like caramel apples. YUM! (*While it may be a zombie cure, we suggest that you don't get bitten by the undead cause seriously have you seen zombie movies? They travel in packs. O.O)

Next we have the swatches..
Six Feet Under is listed as a matte based burnt pumpkin orange with shimmering red, bronze and silver highlights shifting throughout. This I would have to say this is more of an mixture of a brick red and a pumpkin orange and reminds me of the beautiful red leaves of fall. While this may not sound appealing, the color is simply gorgeous.

Next, we have Rest in Pieces which is listed as a shimmery burnt gold with shifts of shimmered orange and tons of sparkle! I would almost say this color is borderline metallic with the gold however it is more natural verses bling on the lids.

Finally, last but not least is my favorite Dark Haunting. I know that this is no surprise since this is described as shimmery indigo shifting DUO CHROME (we all know how I love my duo chromes) that shifts from blue to purple depending on the lighting. While Rest in Pieces flirts with being metallic Dark Haunting embraces it. The shift gives it an amazing metallic like quality and this color is an amazing shadow and would probably be a kick ass liner too.

The next three shadows are extra shadows that were created for the halloween collection and if you get your preorder in quickly you will get these THREE shadows FREE. Yup, that is a treat within itself. However, in case you do miss this chance to get these for free they will be around until Halloween to purchase so you can still pick them up which will also be released on October 1st.

Bag of Bones is a shimmery white with enough sparkle to catch the light just right without leaving you feeling like a disco ball at a dance.

Pumpkin in a Disco is a light orange packed with sparkle. Cinderella would have wanted her pumpkin to look this good.

Finally, last but not least is Bat My Eyes. A black shadow jammed back with purple and pink sparkle stunning enough to enchant any creature of the night that you set you eyes upon. While recent media may claim that vampires may sparkle they will not hesitate to tap you like a keg and drain you dry so tread with caution when attempting to enchant creatures of the night. See images below from my favorite vampire movie of all time...

Whether you like your vampires sparkly or not this really is a kick ass collection. You can pick up this collection for pre-order (it ships out October 1 so you will have all month to look fabulous before Halloween roles around) for $23. You can pick it up on BeautyBarBaby on Etsy. You can also follow BeautyBarBaby on Facebook, Instagram and the Facebook Fan Group to get the latest sneak peeks of up coming collections (like this one).  So, until next time lovelies!

A Swatch Here and a Swatch There... MOAR BeautyBarBar Shadows Part 2 !

*Press Sample*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with more swatches and even an eye swatch or two from BeautyBarBaby. I just can't get enough of her lovely products that I am constantly like this when I see something new coming out...
Yup, this is me a total BBB addict.
However, I have noticed that I hadn't run across too many swatches on the net so I needed to remedy that.

Cause if there are more addicts out there she will create more products for us, RIGHT?

So without further ado, here are some more swatches for you enjoy and hopefully become as hopelessly addicted to her products as I am.

Shagadelic Mojo is from the Fireworks Duo Chrome Collection. It is described as an iced mocha with blue, silver and red shifting undertones. While I am not a coffee drinker (I know I am some strange mutant not of this Earth) I would describe it as a creamy mocha with a lovely trio of shifts. I usually see more of the silver and blue in this swatch but when the light hits it just right the red shimmers through. It is delicate enough to wear everyday but the shifts just keep people guessing.

Sinner is described as a rich shimmery taupe/ blackened plum with gold sparks. I think that it is more of a marriage of taupe and plum since both colors are present but neither are overpowering. It is a great color to wear either by itself as in the eye swatch or with others.

Stinger is currently out of stock due to her recent sale, but keep an eye out for it being restocked. It is a gorgeous bright aqua blue . It reminds me of mermaids and would make an amazing eyeliner.

Ice Queen is described as a pearlescent silvery baby blue with gold undertones. The combination of both the silver and the light blue does give it as a pearly sheen and the hint of gold makes simply gorgeous!

Supergirl is described as a twist of vivid purple and blues with violet interference undertones. This is a lovely blurple color leaning more towards blue however the purple is definitely there. I love this color and for some reason the combination of the name and the color always makes me think of the classic Supergirl movie with Helen Slater.

Last but not least is White Chocolate, which is part of her new matte line. It is a primary white matte shade. This is always one of my favorite go to colors cause I can either use it in a look or as a highlight. Cause honestly everyone needs a matte white in their shadow collection since it is so versatile.

Well I hope that you enjoyed this newest installment of a Swatch Here and Swatch There with BeautyBarBaby. I have plenty to swatch and share with all of you so this will be an on going series (and yes, there will be other companies featured to cause you have to share the love and the addiction). If you would like to pick up these shades , or any others you can do so at the BeautyBarBaby site on Etsy. You can also follow BBB on Facebook, Instagram and their Fan Group on Facebook for the newest sneak peeks of upcoming collections. Until next time lovelies!
