Scentopia! Review of Twisted Wonderland Perfumery

      I am back with the first of several reviews this month. There will be some changes, revamps and  possibly a new look to the blog over the next couple of months or so as I get my blogging boots back in action. If you are curious where I have been you can look the to previous post of why I feel off the planet (and blogging) for a little bit. However with that being said let's just go ahead and jump right into the review.

    While I was on my blogging hiatus, I discovered the world of indie perfumes. There were only so many "mainstream" scents that really struck my fancy and needless to say I was in total and complete amazement with the various scents, themes and of course businesses that were out there. I will state this up front, I am not means a scent expert, my nose isn't a super sniffer however I am getting to the point of where I can pick up certain individual notes. And also please remember that BODY CHEMISTRY is EVERYTHING. Just because something smells AMAZING in the bottle doesn't mean that is going to smell amazing on you. I have learned this the hard way and often scents that you love to smell betray you and turn to the smell of baby vomit on your when applied to you skin (RIP violets, I love your scent but my body chemistry hates you with a passion). That being stated I was over the moon when Twisted Wonderland Perfumery opened up and was looking for people to do a review for some of their scents. I contacted by the owner , Rae about doing a review of her products and she thought that we were a nice fit.
 
    So I was sent a perfume sampler of five different scents (a mixture of perfume oil and eau de parfum) of my choosing , a lip scrub and a lip balm. The items arrived quickly, well packaged and I loved the labels. There were not issues with not enough wrapping and all of the items arrived without incident. Rae was excellent in letting me know when my package was shipped out.  The samplers arrived in a cute box sealed with pink glittery washi tape.

For my five fragrances I chose Absolutely Alice, Absolem's Cocktail, Deadite, Killer Klowns, and Stay Puft. 

So let's start at the beginning and work our way down. 

Absolutely Alice is described as "A delightful sweet & fruity blend of fresh peaches, wild raspberries and wafts of tooth-achingly sweet pink cotton candy." Since it is still sweltering down here in Florida and technically still summer I was looking for a light and summer scent that I could wear. The first sniff out of the bottles is fresh ripe peaches. Applied it still smells like fresh peaches with hints of candy and rasperries help round out the scent to make it fruity and light without being overwhelmingly over the top sweet. 

Absolem's Cocktail is described as "A tall glass of watermelon lemonade with just enough sweet mint muddled in." I love watermelon so I simply had to try this scent, This is the first time I have ever tried watermelon as a perfume on me so I was hoping that my body chemistry would agree to my love of watermelon.  First sniff is just like cutting into a fresh sweet watermelon in the kitchen. Applied on the skin it still smells like heavenly watermelon (thank you body chemistry) with the clean crisp lemon scent and a tiny hint of mint. My body tends to amp up lemon scents so I was concerned with it overpowering the watermelon but it didn't . This is probably my favorite out of the five and I will be picking up a full size of this one asap.

Deadite is described as "sweet blackberry jam with a sinister twist of patchouli, black pepper and vanilla." When hearing that there were Army of Darkness/Evil Dead inspired scents I had to pick up one because I am such a huge fan. First sniff from the bottle blackberries and patchouli. My chemistry also amps up patchouli as well so my fingers were crossed that my chemistry didn't drown out the blackberry. When applied on the skin it is an equal balance of blackberries and patchouli however the vanilla mellows out the scent as well and doesn't make it as strong as patchouli can be. I didn't catch the hints of black pepper on my skin however my sniffer hasn't gained that super power yet.

Killer Klowns, while I had a distinct hatred of clowns I couldn't resist the description which is listed as "blue raspberry slush, cherry slush and cotton candy". My love of cotton candy overcame my clown hatred. First sniff is mainly blue raspberry and cherries. Applied on the skin is an equal balance of the blue raspberry and cherry and later as it dries down and mellow more of the cotton candy. This one is super sweet ,light and a lot of fun.  My five year old daughter loved it so much she claimed it as her own. 

Finally, last but not least, was Stay Puft. I am still trying to figure out if my body has a love hate with marshmallow so I took the plunge and order this scent to finally figure it out. It is described at "fresh marshmallow, marshmallow fluff, two vanillas and a dab of patchouli. First sniff  was a heavenly mingle of marshmallow and vanilla. Applied on the skin the vanilla rings through the marshmallow to make it a yummy foodie kind of scent. It reminds me a lot of marshmallow rice crispy treats. 

All of the scents had decent staying power which is about 4-6 hours on me since my body tends to devour lighter scents quickly. While I enjoyed all of the scents, out of the five Absolem's cocktail was my definite favorite since I can't get over that amazing watermelon scent. Deadite was a close second followed by Absolutely Alice.  All of the fragrances are vegan and of course cruelty free.

Next up is the Jumbo Eat Me Sugar lip scrub. I chose Pomegranate Margarita for the scent/ flavor.  

    As you can see the label does over the cap of the jar and when I asked Rae about it she stated that it was a printing error and she will be getting other labels once these have completely run out. If you do get a jar with a label like this all you need to do is use a pair of scissors right around the area and it should open up easily and you still get to have the pretty label on the front of your jar.  The scent of this lip scrub was simply heavenly! It smells just like it states and made me want a margarita ASAP! the scrub itself was a nice fine sugar easily applied to the lips to scrub. It left my lips soft and smooth. This product is also vegan and cruelty free.

Finally, last but not least, is the Deadly Kiss Lip Balm.

Due to crappy Florida weather and it constantly raining,I used the  flash and it washed out the label. See the lip scrub for actual label coloring.

 I seriously can not have enough balm in my house . Between the five of us, there is always someone stealing my lip balms to use. However this time the culprit was Mr Dreadful. I chose the flavors Green Tea and Honey and it was simply amazing the times I am able to steal it back from my husband. He is in love with it. The balm is just the right consistency without being overly hard or soft.  It also smells amazing. I have given up the good fight for this lip balm and allowed my husband this small little victory but I will be ordering more soon. For those of you who are vegan, this is item does contain beeswax. However like the rest of her products it is cruelty free. 

Final thoughts, I am really impressed and pleased with the products I have received from Twisted Wonderland Perfumery. Rae has been kind and professional answering all of my questions and the products she has put out are wonderful. For those of you with finicky body chemistry, like myself, sampler packs are a godsend so that we are able to try a little bit of everything without ending up with a bottle of something that smells amazing but doesn't work on us. Dreadfully Divine's 14 Best Beauty Favorites for 2014 Tag!

Happy New Year! It is finally 2015 and with the end of 2014 I came up with a list of my best beauty favorites for the year. While some of these are not exactly new products they are the products that I find myself using on a regular basis even if you don't see the photos of them. I originally had planned on taking photos of all the products but since I am currently laid up with the plague sadly you will have to settle for links. There were a lot of limited edition colors that were my favorites but nothing honestly sucks more than to have a list of really amazing products and over half of them you can't get any more. So I limited myself to products that are currently available or that are available when the stores reopen. I am also making this a tag for other bloggers to see what their favorite beauty products are for this past year.  So be sure to comment below and leave your blog listing when I can see your favorite beauty products of 2014!

So without further ado, here are my 14 Best Beauty Favorites for 2014

1. Lunatick Primer by Lunatick Cosmetics Labs  

  -I literally used this EVERY time I do an eye look. Every single time. It is like NYX Jumbo Pencil and Too Faced Shadow Insurance had a love child. This is the result. Not only is this a combination of base and a primer it is also Vegan and Cruelty Free.  Such an epic find and one jar lasts forever. I am still on my first jar and I use it daily. I love this so much if you can't tell.-

2. Cream & Sugar Matte Shadow and Black Velvet Matte Shadow from BeautyBarBaby

  -Okay while technically this could be considered two products I am counting them as one since I always use the two together so they are like one entity in my cold medicated mind. I used both of these products weekly.  Cream & Sugar is my go to highlight/brow bone color since it is a lovely matte and blends fantastically. Black Velvet is used not only for smokey or dramatic looks I also use it to set my eyeliner in my waterline by dabbing it on top of my liner. Just like with the primer, a little goes a long way and I am still on my first jar.-

3. Necromancy Blush from Notoriously Morbid

 - Not only does this blush have an amazing name it is kick ass for contouring. This is my go to contouring powder. It gives you the shadowy look without any orange or bronze tint which makes me look horrible with my fair complexion. I used this all the time when I contour and I won't be without it. The container is HUGE and a little goes a long way (be sure to blend blend blend) and I am still on the first container but I will be getting a second way before I run out since it is a beauty staple in my full face makeup routine.-

4. Leviathan from Darling Girl Cosmetics

  -I discovered Darling Girl this year and I am super impressed with not only the quality but also the colors that are offered. I had several shades from DG that were runners up however a lot of them were Limited Edition colors are I limited myself to colors that were currently available. This is simply amazing shade. It is a brilliant teal with a green flash and subtle shift that ranges between gold and periwinkle. It looks amazing as a lid color as well as for the pop of color on the waterline. DG is currently closed until sometime this month but be sure to pick up this color. You won't be disappointed. -

5. Celestial Crow from Glamour Doll Eyes

  - I also discovered Glamour Doll Eyes this year. Vee, the owner, not only has amazing products but she has one of the fastest turn around times in the indie circles. Like with Darling Girl, there were so many limited edition colors from Glamour Doll Eyes that I wanted to put on my list however they are not available any more so they didn't make this list because of it.  Celestial Crow is one of my favorites (not only for the sheer fact that it reminds me of Game of Thrones which has nothing to do with the creation of the color, it is just how my mind works) because it is extremely versatile. It is a gorgeous bluish black with an intense green shimmer and sparkles. It works well as a shadow by itself or foiled as a striking liner. -

6. Zombie Defense Palette from Lunatic Cosmetics

  -Not only does Lunatick make my go to primer, she also makes some seriously kick ass palettes. They have amazing themes and colors as well as the most unique packaging around. Seriously I haven't seen anyone else with a Ouija board palette! Her colors are rich and super pigmented and you have the option of creating your own palette if you want a specific shade of colors. They are all really amazing and I have a couple but this one is my current favorite and like their primer it is vegan and cruelty free.-

7. Black Cat Crossing from Notoriously Morbid

  -As with the DG and GDE, Notoriously Morbid had some AMAZING limited edition shade this year. However Black Cat Crossing is one of my favorites this year from their regular line up.  It is described as a darker take of the cat eye green with cool purple and warm amber sparkles on the site. It is a gorgeous almost blackened emerald with flashes of purple and gold which is really amplified by a sticky base (such as their new Shadow Bind which should be releasing this month). It is gorgeous on its' own or foiled as a liner. 

8. Sweet Heart Palette from SugarPill

  -I love SugarPill, there is no denying it. Their bright and bold colors, super cute packaging and kick ass pigmentation. I just adore their products. While I have had this palette for awhile, I kept finding myself reaching for it more and more throughout the year. All the colors are so pigmented I just couldn't get enough.-

9. Haunted Palace Lipstick from BeautyBarBaby

 -BeautyBarBaby came out with some AMAZING opaque lipsticks this year and I constantly get compliments any time I am wearing them. It was so hard to narrow it down just to one shade so I chose the color that I wore most. Haunted Palace is a lovely medium toned mauve that would look great on any skin tone. It is perfect enough for wearing to the office without being too dramatic and great for a night out as well.-

10. Burlesque HD Lip Paint from My Beauty Addiction

 -I love My Beauty Addiction whipped lipsticks. They are rich, opaque and wonderful to put on . I have several of her whipped lipsticks however this is the one that I reach for the most. Burlesque is a deep magenta pink with purple undertones. While it can be on the brighter side for some people, I constantly get compliments when I am out wearing it. The jars are jam packed full and I still have a ton left even though I wear it often.-

11. Nightmoth Lip Liner from MAC Cosmetics

 -While this is not an indie brand, this is the MAIN lip liner that I find myself reaching for constantly. I want to line everything with it. It is a gorgeous blackened plum which is pretty enough on its' own it looks amazing as an ombre lip or even under other lipsticks such as my next favorite, Kat Von D's Vampira.

12. Vampira from Kat Von D

  - I love liquid lipsticks while I discovered them last year. I really didn't play around with them until this one. Vampi As some of you may know Mr Dreadful and I finally made it official this year and got married after being together for 11+ years. I wore this color (plus Nightmoth) for my wedding and it lasted FOREVER. My lipstick never smudged and didn't fade throughout the ceremony. 

13. Lip Balms from both BeautyBarBaby and Notoriously Morbid

  -I have become a lip balm addict this year. Partially because I find that liquid lipstick are really dry on my lips so I am constantly applying lip balm both in the morning before my makeup and in the evening after my makeup is off. And on days that I don't wear make up and I apply it constantly like a junkie. I can never have enough. So due to this new found lip habit I have acquired a ton of various lip balms to try I couldn't narrow it down to just on brand. So I picked my favorite two. Currently BeautyBarBaby has two types of balms- the tinted which are slightly firmer and the non tinted balms which are slightly softer but both glide over the lips and hydrate like a dream. Notoriously Morbid also has tinted and non tinted balms (or should I say Coffin Kissers) but both seem to be of the same formula and are simply wonderful. BeautyBarBaby has unique packaging for each flavor while Notoriously Morbid's is sleek and black.-

Finally, last but not least...

14. Holographic Glitter from BeautyBarBaby and Lit Cosmetics

  -For those of you who don't follow me on my various social media pages, I will admit that I am a glitter junkie. In all blunt honesty, I am a glitter whore. I love it. I love wearing it. I just can't get enough of it. And this year both Lit and BeautyBarBaby came out with holographic glitters which are super duper sparkly. Like Drag Queen performing on my eyeballs to fabulous music sparkly. I squealed like a fan girl over these. So while I can't pick just one glitter color, I pick both Lit Cosmetics and BeautyBarBaby's holographic lines of glitter. You can't go wrong with them cause they are simply FABULOUS.

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Insta Natural Youth Express Eye Gel

       I am back again with another review. Today I am reviewing Insta Natural Youth Express Eye Gel. I received this product in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Now with three kids ranging in ages from 3 to 10 there are some nights I don't get enough sleep. So naturally I have bags or dark circles underneath my eyes. I usually use various makeup techniques and tricks to cover them up but I wanted to have a product that helps the problem other than buy various products to cover it up. While I am all for new makeup, I don't want the suitcases my eyes carry with them at times.
    So needless to say, I was really happy when I started seeing results from using this product. I noticed them almost immediately since I do a lot of makeup eye shots. I started noticing the development of fine lines and the start of the dreaded "w" word. That is right, wrinkles when I was doing my close up shots. By around the third day, I noticed that the lines were not at defined an appeared smoother. The dark circles around my eyes were fading and I could feel the skin tightening up when I applied the gel. The gel is thick and cloudy like in appearance (since it is neither clear nor opaque) and a little does go a long way. It has a faint scent that dissipates quickly and while it hydrates and moisturizes it absorbs into the skin quickly. There was no oily or greasy residue and it can be worn under makeup without any issue. I use once in the morning before applying my makeup and then once in the evening after I remove my makeup. I am very pleased with the results and it has become part of my beauty regiment.

What's the Deal Dreadful? Review of Pure Body Naturals Organic Argan Oil

    I am back with another review.  Now I know that some of you may be wondering why I haven't been posting makeup pictures and or nail pictures. Quite simply, I have the plague.

Yup, I should have known better

That's right my little dreadful plague carriers have bestowed upon the gift of the plague this holiday season and I don't have the energy to do makeup or nails right now since I feel like I am dying. But I do have these reviews that are ready to go. But I do promise that I will be doing more makeup and nail looks, tutorials and reviews.

     But enough about my plague status and on with the review! This time I am reviewing Pure Body Naturals Organic Argan Oil.I am becoming a real big fan of Argan oil lately since it has so many uses. I use it for not only for taming my hair (and my daughter's super wavy wild child hair) , but for a moisturizer, for my cuticles and even in my bath. I was super impressed with the amount of product that I got in this bottle as well. Since the bottle is HUGE. I know that some people have mentioned that their Argan oil has a smell, this one does not and I put it to the "Nose" (aka Mr Dreadful) test. He has a super sensitive sniffer and it got the seal of approval from him. As I mentioned earlier I use a couple of drops for my hair I have noticed that it seems shinier and healthier. (And yes, this is before the cold meds too.) I also noticed that it helps keeps my daughter's hair in check and she has super fine wavy hair that is prone to frizz. It seems to be preventing the frizz. Mr Dreadful steals the bottle to use a couple of drops in the bath making him feel moisturized and I have started using it at night not only on cuticles and face but also on my feet to help moisturize my heels. I am now officially addicted to Argan oil and I definitely won't be without a bottle in my house.

What the Deal Dreadful? Review of Premium Argan 100% Organic Pure Moroccan Argan Oil

Hello Lovelies!

   I am back today with a review! I was asked to review Premium Argan 100% Organic Pure Moroccan Argan Oil  and I was really excited for the opportunity. I have been wanting to branch out and review other beauty, fashion and health items for 2015 I figured I would go ahead and start early! 
    I had heard how beneficial Argan Oil was for hair and I really wanted to give it a try since I have really baby fine straight hair and I have always wanted super shiny hair like in the hair commericals. My hair also gets a lot of damage from the fact that I am constantly coloring it and even using various tools of hair torture on it (flat irons, curling irons, etc..)

  I received a full size bottle 2oz (60ml) very quickly and it was well packaged and arrived without a problem which is always a possibility during this hellish mail time of the year. There was a mention of a light nutty smell to the oil on Amazon, but I didn't notice a distinct smell. To be honest it didn't have a smell that I could tell, which was a bonus for Mr Dreadful since he has a sensitive sniffer.

                                           
  The first thing that I tried the Argan oil on was my hair. As I mentioned before it is baby fine, straight as a board and super processed. After I got out of the shower I put some oil in my hands and then I rubbed them together to warm the oil up (as per the directions) and the worked the oil in my hair starting from the tips and then up to my scalp. Now I learned the first day that a little goes a LONG way. I applied too much the first time (I used an entire dropper full) and it was too much for my hair to absorb and it looked greasy. However, the next time I applied much less, and my hair absorbed it all without looking greasy.  After a couple of days I noticed that my hair was much softer, shinier and more manageable. 

See this amount? This is way too much to put in your hair. You need only just a small amount!

   The bottle also mentioned that it was good on dry skin patches and it often applied on feet and on the cuticles. I won't lie my feet are horribly dry and can be quite rough in the winter. After the shower I applied the Argan Oil to Feet and then placed socks over my feet for the rest of the day. It has really made all the difference. I don't feel like I am a strange human dinosaur hybrid anymore with my super rough and dry feet. They are much softer! My cuticles are also a wreck but I have noticed a considerable difference with me applying the Argan oil a couple of times a day to my cuticles and working it in. Mr Dreadful is a bath junkie like I am and he has stolen it a couple of times in to add a few drops into his bath and it does give an extra moisturizing boost.

 Now to what you have been waiting for.. on to the ratings!

Packaging: 9.5 out of 10 bats
   The Uni Premium Argan 100% Organic Pure Moroccan Argan Oil comes in a nice thick glass bottle with a long glass dropper for a top. It makes it easy to control the amount that you want to apply. 

Efficiency: 9.5 out of 10 bats
   I noticed a huge difference in my skin and my hair after using it a couple of days.

Scent: 9.7 out of 10 bats
   There is NO scent that I can detect with my nose which is a bonus for those of you with a sensitive sniffer in your household.

Affordability: 9.7 out of 10 bats

Overall thoughts and impressions, I really like the product. I enjoyed the fact that there is a generous amount of oil to apply not only to my hair but also use it in the bath and with dry skin treatments. The Dreadful family enjoyed the fact that there was really no scent that we would pick up so there was no complaints that the smell was too strong or overpowering. It is extremely affordable for all the various uses we get out of it. Would we purchase this after we ran out of it? Yes, without a doubt. While I did receive this product for consideration to review, all thoughts are my own and I only recommend products that I would personally use and let my family use. Until next time lovelis!

Late Mani Monday Post: Featuring Patina from Gothic Gala Lacquers!

    Sorry for the late posting today for my Mani Monday post, unfortunately my internet has been having issues today and has been down off and on all day. I can only guess that it has been from the epic wave of thunderstorms that we have been having recently.

Yup, this was my internet today..

 However I am back today with another Mani Monday post with Gothic Gala Lacquer's, Patina. Patina, is the newest last minute edition to the awesome Steam Punk Collection that GGL put out at the beginning of this month that I was lucky to swatch for her. Samantha did an excellent job capturing the grittier, yet still beautiful side of Steam Punk that people often over look with nice bright and shiny things.

Patina is listed on the site as a teal leaning more towards green with a shimmer. It is simply a gorgeous light blue green with a golden shimmer much like the green that sometimes appears when copper oxides. Just take a look since I did manage to take some photos in between downpours.

Patina is naturally a gorgeous matte polish but looks just as beautiful with a shiny top coat. Due it is being a matte, the polish consistency is thicker and I only needed two coats for this mani. Mani Monday: Featuring Ashley Rose from Ruby White Tips

Hello Lovelies!
   I am back again this Monday with another addition of Mani Monday and this time I am presenting Ashley Rose from Ruby White Tips. This was my first purchase from RWT and my first time purchasing a thermal (color changing ) polish. It applies as a light purple but when it gets cold it turns a darker purple!  So with one mani you have endless polish possibilities throughout the day! Especially if you are easily amused as I was when I first applied it I was constantly sticking my hands in Mr Dreadful's face after subjecting my nails to various water temps. So needless to say, I am now officially hooked on both thermals and polishes from RWT. Mani Monday with Carpe Noctem Cosmetics!

    Welcome to the first installment of a new series called Mani Monday! I have recently developed a polish addiction and I wanted to share my looks with you. I may even share my learning attempts with stamping as well. For my first Mani Monday I started with another indie polish company Carpe Noctem Cosmetics. Today, I am wearing Diva D in Diamonds inspired by the amazing Diva in The Fifth Element, which is one of my favorite movies, and Gifford Gorgeous on my accent nails.

Both of these colors are on the lighter side of blue and purple which I am trying out since I am such a bold and bright or dark and vampy girl. Both took three coats in order to the opacity that I wanted and top off with Seche Vite's fast drying top coat cause I hate waiting for polish to dry. I always manage to smear it or dent it.  Diva D in Diamonds is part of her regular stock while Glifford would be considered a special order so you would have to order a custom polish.  I really wish that I was able to get a nice sunny picture of this mani but it looks like it is finally going to rain since it has been grey and overcast all day. Here is a nice sunny image of Diva for those of you curious to see what it looks like out in the sun (rather than indoors) back when my nails were longer.

EOTD/FOTD Series:BeautyBarBaby Mineral Makeup Part One

Hello lovelies!
   Welcome to another first in a new series, the EOTD/FOTD Series (or Eye/s of the Day or Face of the Day series) I do a lot of  looks and I thought that I would share them with all of you out there in blog land since some of you may or may not follow my Facebook page or my Instagram. But it is entirely possibly that you are following and have missed my EOTDs due to Facebook's new fail matrix. So I will be sharing here on my blog some of the various looks from one of my favorite indie companies BeautyBarBaby Mineral Makeup.

This look was done with a combination of BeautyBarBaby's :Snow Ball, Black Widow, Devil's Breath, Midnight, Poisoned Apply, Seductress and Electric Blue glitter on my eyes. I am also wearing Spicy Watermelon on my cheeks and Inferno Lipstick .

In the Pursuit of Fabulous- February Glam Box Unboxing/Review

   I know THREE posts in one day? I am on a ROLL! But I wanted to share with you this unboxing/ review of Glam Boxes February box that they were so kind enough to send to me to do a review. Glam Boxes is a beauty box that is mailed to your doorstep monthly filled with all kinds of beauty items (makeup, nail polish, bath items, even sweets!) and a lot of the items are handmade by small independent companies. So it is a great way to try lots of indie (and non indie) products. There will always me a MINIMUM of 5 items in your box. This month's box had a ton of goodies in there for me to enjoy. In the Pursuit of Fabulous- St Patrick's 0Day inspired look tutorial with Green Circle Lenses

Hello lovelies!

         I am back again this time with a St. Patrick's Day inspired look tutorial. While everyone claims to be somewhat Irish on St. Patrick's Day for free green beer, this green and gold look will show off your festive side even if you aren't Irish. No St. Patrick's Day look would be complete for me and my circle lens addiction without green eyes so I am wearing GEO XTRA WIA23 in Green from Uniqso. St. Patrick's Day Inspired Look

Here is what I used for the look: Moisturizer, Manly 120 Palette, Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk, Black Gel Eyeliner (your choice I used MAC since that is what I have on hand), Your favorite mascara, Red Cherry Lashed #20, Black liquid eyeliner (or you can use the Gel if you prefer) and Theodora Glitter and Glitter adhesive from Lit Cosmetics. While any gold cosmetic glitter will work please note that the key word is COSMETIC. Please for anything that you hold dear do not use craft glitter anywhere near your face and especially your eyes! If you don't have glitter adhesive eyelash glue spread thinly over the area will work as well.

Let's get started!

Step One Prep and Prime the eye

Step One: Apply moisturizer all over the eye area and wait until absorbed. Then apply Too Face Shadow Insurance primer all over the lid  to the brow bone and under the lash line. Afterwards apply NYX jumbo pencil in milk over the same area and blend in.

Step Two Cut Crease

Step Two: Take a thin brush (I use a cheap synth brush from an artist brush pack at Walmart) and apply the black gel liner starting at the outer corner of your eye to the inner corner. The thicker you make it the more dramatic it will be. Don't worry if it isn't perfect you are going to blend this out.

Step Three Blend Cut Crease and apply highlight

Step Three: Take an angled brush and dip it into the black shadow and gently blend upwards in short strokes. By blending upwards you still have the cut crease. Apply the color marked 1 on the palette under your brow as a highlight and blend down to blend the two colors together.

Step Four Add Yellow

Step Four: Apply the matte yellow color marked number 2 on the palette above and apply it to about the middle of your eye. Be sure to apply it both on the lid and under your bottom lashes to tie in the look.

Step Five Add Green

Step Five: Apply the matte kelly green marked number 3 on the palette slightly overlapping the yellow to the almost the outside of your lid. Do the same to the bottom under the lashes as well.

Step Six Add Dark Green 

Step Six: Add the dark forest green marked number 4 on the palette to the remaining portion of the eye slightly overlapping the kelly green. Do the same thing under the lashes as well.

Step Seven Blend blend blend and then add some glitter!

Step Seven: Blend, blend, blend those colors to get a nice gradient effect. I use a Q-tip to blend when I am doing a cut crease so I am careful not to blend the crease. Apply glitter adhesive or a thin layer of lash glue over the yellow portion of the shadow and add Theodora or gold glitter (cosmetic grade only! please) on top and bottom. Wipe away any fallout you may have with a makeup wipe. If you don't have or don't care for glitter you can skip this portion (after the blending of course) and go straight on to step eight.

Step Eight Line those eyes and apply mascara!

Step Eight: Take your favorite liquid eyeliner (or you can use the gel liner you used for your cut crease if you prefer) and line the top of your eye. Line your waterline with your favorite black eyeliner (pencil or gel) and set with black eye shadow using an angled brush. Fill in (or draw in) your brows and add lashes. I used Red Cherry Lashes #20

Finished look!
