Mani Monday... The Darkest Kiss always requires a Thank You..

*Gift, Purchased, Affiliate Link*

Hello Lovelies,
I am back with another Mani Monday post after forever. During the holidays, quite honestly EVERYTHING was crazy. Then after the holidays not only did my kids get the flu but they also shared that horrible plague with me as well. So needless to say that my nails were horribly neglected and quite frankly they looked like shit.  I know I should hang my head in shame over that fact but I just recently started doing my nails again which is horribly sad and I wanted to get back into the swing of posting manis and beauty posts since I have been doing nothing but reviews. So this is the first of many new Mani Monday posts and if you follow me on Instagram you would have actually seen my poor attempt to film trying to capture the holo. However I did manage to capture hints of it here and there on film.

I used the following polishes for this mani
Opi Base Coat
Gothic Gala Lacquer Darkest Kiss
Pure Ice Superstar (for stamping on the thumb and the ring finger)
Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-12 (use discount code KLH10 to save some money)
Gothic Gala Lacquer Thank You Flake Top Coat
Vapid Lacquer's Fast Drying Top Coat.

I hope that you enjoyed this Mani Monday installment and until next time lovelies!

Freezing winds, swirly stars and MOAR Drunk Stamping!

*Purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back today with a late Mani Monday post! I am sorry that I am posting so late however recently one of my little Dreadfuls came home from school with the flu so any particular kind of schedule I had is gone when little ones are sick. However, he is feeling much better now. He is not up to 100% however he is much better than he was.  But I did manage to sneak in a mani since he is feeling better. But I will warn you that my cuticles are a HOT MESS! The cold weather just wrecks my hands.
Yup that is me, attempting to warm my hands...

I know that some of you, who have read my about me section are going.. What? Wait, Dreadful aren't you in Florida?!?! Yes, yes I am however I am a big baby when it comes to being cold.

These freezing metal heads are not amused with my cry baby antics about the cold.
To give me some credit, it has been colder here the past two years than it has been for most. ..
That is almost unheard of.. so you know my butt is cold

I feel like this constantly...

And I am constantly searching out warmth...

 However....

They are surfing in this kind of weather in Death Metal makeup while I think that I am going to die..

But enough of my bitching about the cold on with the nail pics!

 I used:
  Opi Strengthening Base Coat
  Gothic Gala Lacquers Njord
Gothic Gala Lacquers Metallic Blue Stamping Polish
Bundle Monster Stamping plate BM -021
Vapid Lacquer Fast Drying Top Coat

I still haven't mastered stamping since my stamps are still faint compared to other people's stamps using the same polish. I haven't figured out if it is the amount of stamping polish I am using or if my stamper just sucks. Either way I hope that you enjoyed this Mani Monday post! If you are dying for this polish you can pick it up here. You can follow Gothic Gala Lacquer on Facebook, Instagram and on the Facebook Fan Page. Until next time lovelies, I am off to stay warm!!
Wait, was that a white walker outside my door?

Mani Monday:When Stars Fell During the South Haven Sunset with a hint of Drunk Stamping

Hello Lovelies,
I am back and feeling much better for this weekly installment of Mani Monday and of course some MOAR drunk stamping. It has been far to long since I last attempted to stamp and I wanted to do something today that made me bust out the stamper.

Stamping makes me feel fabulous and sassy!

Surprisingly enough, my stamping wasn't as bad as I thought that it would be and the  Gothic Gala Laquer's Stamping polish in Antique Gold over Carpe Noctem Cosmetic's South Haven was a nice and subtle look which you could get away with in a conservative work place.

I was glowing with delight that my stamper didn't betray me.
I wanted to do something fall/winter inspired without using the traditional colors and stamps without being too traditional. But just take a look and tell me what you think!

Sadly, my nails broke the day before I did this mani, Isn't it always the case?

I was trying to capture the duo chrome effect of South Haven Sunset

Apparently it is still going to take a while for me to get this stamping thing down.
I used the following polishes for this look:
Opi Nail Strengthening Base Coat
Carpe Noctem Cosmetics South Haven Sunset
Gothic Gala Lacquers Antique Gold Stamping Polish
Vapid Lacquers Fast Drying Top Coat
Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM-021

While I know that the stamping isn't perfect and didn't cover the entire nail in the last photo I was pretty pleased with how this look turned out. I felt pretty damn fabulous.

Yup this is how I felt about my nails.

You can follow Carpe Noctem Cosmetics on Facebook, in the Facebook Fangroup and on Instagram. You can also follow Gothic Gala Lacquerson Facebook, in her Facebook Fangoup and on Instagram as well. And finally last but not least, you can also follow Vapid Lacquer on Facebook, in her Facebook Fangroup and also on Instagram. I hope that you liked today's installment of Mani Monday (with a hint of drunk stamping) and tell me what is your current favorite mani color for the season?

Late Mani Monday Post: Featuring Patina from Gothic Gala Lacquers!

*Press Sample*
Hello Lovelies!
Sorry for the late posting today for my Mani Monday post, unfortunately my internet has been having issues today and has been down off and on all day. I can only guess that it has been from the epic wave of thunderstorms that we have been having recently.

Yup, this was my internet today..
However I am back today with another Mani Monday post with Gothic Gala Lacquer's, PatinaPatina, is the newest last minute edition to the awesome Steam Punk Collection that GGL put out at the beginning of this month that I was lucky to swatch for her. Samantha did an excellent job capturing the grittier, yet still beautiful side of Steam Punk that people often over look with nice bright and shiny things.

Gritty and beautiful always make me think of Steam Punk

Patina is listed on the site as a teal leaning more towards green with a shimmer. It is simply a gorgeous light blue green with a golden shimmer much like the green that sometimes appears when copper oxides. Just take a look since I did manage to take some photos in between downpours.

 Naturally Matte

Naturally Matte

Patina is naturally a gorgeous matte polish but looks just as beautiful with a shiny top coat. Due it is being a matte, the polish consistency is thicker and I only needed two coats for this mani. You can purchase Patina at Gothic Gala Lacquers' site. However you can also follow GGL on Facebook, the Facebook Fangroup and Instagram. I hope that you enjoyed this late Mani Monday! Until next time lovelies!

Mani Monday Featuring the New Steampunk Collection from Gothic Gala Lacquers

*Press Sample*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again for another installment of Mani Monday and this time I have a super special treat for you Samantha from Gothic Gala Lacquers contacted me and asked if I was interested in swatching a  new Steampunk collection that she was planning to release in the beginning of September. So, of course, I was super excited since not only do I love her polishes but I love all things Steampunk.

OMG! Did you say Steampunk?
Then, I began to worry since I started thinking about the blog and my new found romance with animated gifs and blogging and then I realized I hadn't seen that many steampunk movies.

Hmmm, Let me think about this.
Then, I began to search the internet for steampunk animated gifs...

I searched everywhere and it seemed like a never ending task.
Until it finally hit me that The City of Lost Children would be absolutely PERFECT for this collection. Not only was it one of my favorite films, it also had an amazing steampunk feel and Ron Perlman was in it. So it was made to animate this blog post for Gothic Gala's Steampunk collection.
When most people tend to think of Steampunk, metallics often come to mind so naturally I was thinking that I was going to have shiny metallic nails. However, Samantha always continues to surprise me with her collections. Instead of bright metallics, she went the opposite direction and did mattes. Yup, that is right a mostly matte Steampunk collection which is simply brilliant. I liked how she took the grittier aspect of Steampunk while still working with the traditional metallic aspect. I swatched the polishes as they are and then with a top coat to give them either a matte or a shiny look so that you can see the differences. Just take a look...

Blue Steel is probably the most non traditional steampunk color with it being blue.It is a lovely hybrid combination of both a lighter blue and silver. This is naturally a matte however, it is just as gorgeous with a shiny top coat which makes it slightly darker and more metallic looking with a shiny top coat. I will have to say it is one of my favorites.

Bronze is the is a lovely like orange with a hint of gold and tons of shimmer when the light hits it just right. It is also a matte but looks only slightly darker with a shiny top coat.

Rust is the mid range tone of the steampunk metallics. While it is a lovely orange metallic hue it is darker with a  bit more red or even possibly a hint of pink. This is another matte but turns slightly darker when the shiny top coat is added but just as lovely.

Copper is another one of my favorites which is the darkest of the three orange metallics. It has more of brown hue than the other two with the most dramatic transformation when the shiny top coat is applied. You can see more of the brown the shiny top coat than in its' natural matte.

Finally, last but not least no steampunk collection would be complete without Silver. This is collection is no exception. While this color is silver it isn't the flashy over the top metallic silver since it would be completely out of place with the rest of the colors. This silver is more subtle and subdued however still silver none the less. This is the ONLY naturally shiny polish out of the entire collection and it is just as stunning with a matte top coat.

So there you have it lovelies, the Steampunk collection from Gothic Gala Lacquers releases September 1st. You can  either pick up the entire collection for $37 $45m since she has added a new color which is on its' way to me right now, or you can pick out your favorites for $8.50 a piece.

With prices like that you won't completely blow your beauty budget

This collection will be around until Spring so no need to take up drinking just yet!

You can purchase Gothic Gala polishes here. If you would like to follow her on the web you can follow her on Facebook, Facebook Fan Group,  Instagram and Pinterest. I hope that you enjoyed this installment of Mani Monday and until next time lovelies!
