In the Pursuit of Fabulous-Neutral Big Eye Makeup

Hello my lovlies~

I am back and this time with my first every makeup tutorial. I figured that I would start off with an everyday  neutral look complete with theBarbie Puffy Three Tone Brown Lenses from my last review. While I am more a dramatic makeup fan there are days when I really love a neutral look.I know that my pictures aren't the best but my camera is limping along on its last legs and I am hoping it last through the holiday season. Perhaps I will be lucky and Santa will bring me a new one.  But now on with the tutorial.
**Updated with new cleared pictures thank to my new camera and Santa. ^_~**
Neutral Big Eye

What I used for this tutorial:
Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance, Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk,  Manly 120 Professional Palette , Mac's Embark, Makeup Forevera Aquashadow in Matte BlackMAC's Liquid Last Liner, your favorite mascara and some lashes Red Cherry 103 (optional).

Manly Makeup Palette

Mac's Embark

Step 1: First use Too Faced Eyeshadow insurance over your entire lid and then apply your NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk and blend. Apply under your eye as well since we will be adding color under your eye to tie in the look.

Step 2: Now that the first color marked on the Manly 120 Professional Palette and pat over your lid.

Step 3: Take the second color marked on the Manly Palette and apply in and above your crease also bringing it down and under your eye midway to tie in the look. Don't worry how blocky it looks we will be blending it out in the end.

Step 4: Take Embark and apply it in the outer corner of your eye in a sideways v shape. Use as much or as little as you would like but remember it won't be as bold as when you first put it on due to blending.

Step 5: Take the shadow marked 4 on the Manly Palette and apply to the brow bone as your highlight. Now take a brush and blend, blend, blend, and BLEND until you get the desired transition of color. Remember to use your brush in a side to side windshield wiper motion. If needed take a makeup cleansing cloth (or baby wipe) and wipe away any fall out.

Step 6: Line your eyes. I used Makeup Forever's Aqua shadow on my waterline(which I set by placing some black matte eye shadow on top of it--I found that by doing that it makes it last longer) and used MAC's Liquid Last liner on my lid and apply lashes Red Cherry 103 (optional).

**Now I find it easier for me to do my eye makeup first and then the rest of my face. It works out best for me in this way since I draw/paint on my brows. But everyone has their own way of doing makeup do what is easiest for you**

You are done and you look fabulous!

Well my lovelies, I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial! Until next time my dears...

Pursuit of Fabulous-Makeup Forever Aqua Shadow

Hello my darlings,
Today I am reviewing Makeup Forever's Aqua Shadows. I must admit, I was a little hesitant over the initial cost but since I am in search of a new makeup sealer for my eyebrows (that will be another post for another day) I decided to take the plunge. I will admit that when I first saw them on Faces by Sarah 's blog I had to try them out. I purchased both the black (#0E) and the jade (#8E) featured in Sarah's tutorial and honestly, they are well worth the money. I have used them both as a quick eyeliner and couldn't be happier. The shadows go on smooth with a creamy feel, unlike some pencil shadows which drag roughly across the eyelid. I can even line my tightline with these shadows which is saying a lot. I hate the feel of eyeliner dragging across my tightline so I hardly ever line it. But These shadows are simply amazing and they last all day long. In addition to their staying power, they are virtually smudge proof against little (or even big) fingers and waterproof.  So Dreadful gives Makeup Forever's Aqua Shadow the following ratings...

Pigmentation- 8 out of 10 bats
The colors are highly pigmented. I often find that pencil shadows/liners are never as vibrant as they appear online or often you have to cake them on in order to achieve the desired color. This is not the case with Aqua Shadows. They may be a little bit difficult to blend so be warned.

Staying power- 9 out of 10 bats
I'm hard on my eye makeup. I have allergies, little fingers that want to touch my eyes, and I also wear contacts so I am constantly either touching my eyes or someone else is trying to. So if Aqua shadows can put up with the things that happen to my eyes and stay on without making me look like I am a raccoon or that I have been punched in eyes, I am impressed.

Affordability-7 out of 10 bats
While I love the product and I would love to have all the colors, it is really steep for my budget. They are twenty dollars USD a pop and with twelve different beautiful colors the average person is going to have to pick and choose which ones to buy. Due to the color, feel and staying power really makes these shadows worth it. I would rather have one amazing lasting shadow which doubles as eyeliner that is a bit more expensive than the cheaper one that I have to cake on and use twice if not three times as much in order to achieve the same look.

Overall rating- 8 out of 10 bats
The pros outweigh the con for this product. While they are expensive, they last and are super pigmented and glide on the eyes like a dream. So go and pick out the color or colors that you really want and enjoy.
